67M20F Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 I use the little brown book and was told by an instructor that it wasn't legal??? He said I have to have a current green book in the cockpit at all times! Is this right, I thought as long as I checked and made sure nothing had changed that I was good.
Greg_D Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 What "little brown book" are you taslking about? Flight guide?
67M20F Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 No VFR, and I always check it with the Internet before I go.
eaglebkh Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 I wonder if he thinks the AOPA FD is considered legal? Of course, it doesn't get published nearly as often as the green book...
67M20F Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Not trying to use the AOPA FD, it turns out you don't have to carry charts, or any AFD. But if you are being silly it can bite you for not having them.
