neonbjb Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 The KX 155 on my plane is letting noise through on the ground after the radio stack has warmed up. From some cursory research, it seems like this might just be an issue that is fixable by adjusting a pot inside of the radio. My A&P is willing to do help me make this adjustment but he doesn't have a service manual for the radio so we don't know what pot to adjust. If anyone on this forum has the service manual, can you point me to the right pot? Quote
seaero Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 You can probably find an outdated KX-155 manual on EBay. However, you might just want to take it to a BK shop who should only charge you 1 hour to adjust it correctly. You might end up making it worse doing it yourself. Quote
Yetti Posted January 25, 2017 Report Posted January 25, 2017 I think there is a sticker on the outside of the radio that says what pot is what. This may have it identified. http://www.aeroelectric.com/Installation_Data/Bendix-King/KX155_IM.pdf You may need to reground your antenna or check your coax. Quote
