peevee Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Here's the list the shop uses, seems to me the fuselage structure should be checked for corrosion, not just checking the windows for leaks. Thoughts? MOONEY CONDITION EVALUATION.docx
flyhigh603 Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Pull out the rear seat/seats and check the main and sub spar for corrosion. If you find any at all thats not a good sign and most likely a Mooney killer. Also the structure tubing on both sides of pilot and co pilot seats.Of course lift your tail and play more than a 1/4 in is suspicious. Also check log books for excessive drop in cylinder pressure over last 3 annuals......just sayin ....
