The best of both worlds is the best of both worlds. Electronic sometimes fail, and paper is a pain in the ass. I always carry some paper in my plane, and have been glad that I have done so occasionally. Additionally I defy you to slip your iPad between the side window and the plastic trim to get the sun out of your face . :-)

I always used Air Charts Atlas, but I believe they went out of business a couple of years ago.  The Atlas format was much easier for me to deal with while flying and one Atlas gave me the entire Eastern US.  I still keep the last year I purchased in my flight bag as a backup if I ever had to have paper.  I'm not sure if anyone else still sells the Atlas format, but I much preferred it to having multiple paper charts.

Oh, there are definitely things that paper is better than a tablet for.
