nels Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 I believe you are supposed to send in your old registration to the FAA after selling your plane. Can someone tell me exactly where, address, that might be? Thanks. Sorry if this doesn't appear in the right spot. Quote
midlifeflyer Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 It should say what to do on the back of the certificate - check off the ownership transferred box and mail it to the FAA Aircraft Registry. The address is there also, where it says "This Certificate must be returned to..." For further reference, the applicable FAR is 41.47. Quote
carusoam Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Easy to read, unless.... It's in the back of someone else's new 2 them plane...? Best regards, -a- Quote
wombat Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 The registration shouldn't be in the back of some else's new 2 them plane, they should have the pink copy of the 8050-1 in the back of their plane. That works as the registration (in the US only, no trips to Canada or Mexico) for 90 days until you get the permanent registration. Having just gone through this last week I'm pretty confident of this. Quote
nels Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 Thanks guys. All went well and it wasn't a Mooney that left either but rather a Cessna 177rg. Quote
