mooneygirl Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Someone submitted a video of their approach and landing at Oceano for Celebration Day. How do you get the audio from the intercom/radio on the video. Is there a jack, hook up? I think it just made it wonderful to her how many planes were coming to Oceano. Any help is appreciated. Quote
Sven Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 I have one and it works perfectly: http://www.horizonspilotshop.com/CAMCORDER-ADAPTER-PA-80.htm -Sven Quote
mooneygirl Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 Hi Sven Thanks for the information. It looks like the headset goes into one jack and the other jack goes into the camera? Thank you for the link. Quote
Sven Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Yep, that's how it works. You will probaby also need an extention cord to reach the camera. I got mine at Radio Shack. Just ask for an 1/8 male/female cord. I think they come in 4, 6, and 8 ft lengths. I got the 6 ft and it's plenty long. Quote

Piloto Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Beware that you need to have some degree of audio attenuation when going from the headset to the camera input. Otherwise the audio input will be overloaded and will sound very loud and distorted. Radio Shack has some cables with attenuation rsistors built in the connector. You can make your own by having a 1kohm in series and a 100 ohms from mic input side to ground. José Quote
