What's the best way to remove a coat of paint from the OAT probe? Does anyone have a picture of what it should look like in the unpainted state? Don't want to liberally apply MEK to what turns out to be a plastic seal or anything....

Hey all - I need to relocate my OAT sensor from my pilot side air vent to the factory location on the passenger side wing on my 78 J. I have a JPI 730 and the existing sensor is the JPI 3in stick probe. I would rather install the mooney factory button sensor but not sure it will work with the JPI....
