  1. I can't wait to get a paint job. its gonna be flight red.....solid! Later I will paint the tail black. Please keep the pictues coming of the paint job, its always cool to see things evolve!
  2. There is an STC for a 201 Cowl mod. Check out LASAR.com or Southwest Texas Aviation. Both places have can give you further information.
  3. I've done it! I too have now purchased the 201 window modification kit! I also found out they no longer sell the lens cover for the landing light. I was hoping for that one it would have been the cheapest mod on the plane i think haha! Thankfully I wont be home for 2 months cause they are out of the window kits for the next 30 days. But i'll have it by November waiting my arrival
  4. Congrats and welcome to the ranks!
  5. Well I already have the cowl closer, wing roots, flap gap seals, single piece belly & inboard flap hinge covers. I've thought about the tail ones, and maybe the aileron one but I don't know I need to get the paint job, and the more I add the less I have for that! I am almost sure i'll be happy with the window. And I plan to document it all just as I did when I replaced my side windows!
  6. So here I am a week later changing my mind entirely! I talked to SWTA and will now be purchasing the 201 Mod. Can't wait!!!
  7. Does anyone have this and if so do you have a picture of it that you could send or post on the forum! I just got it and will be installing them when I get home from my deployment. I can't seem to find any pictures of it. Thanks!
  8. Check www.lasar.com (AkA Lake Aero Stying & repair in Clear Lake, CA) They are awesome! They can get you parts from the factory, or if they have some off of old (RIP) mooney's there at the shop. They even found me a door handle....hard to find let me just tell you! 900 F Sky Park Drive Lakeport, CA 95453 (707) 263-0412
  9. From your pictures it looks like your transponder is down low while mine is up high on the right side, but I had some water get into my transponder and caused a heap of problems with it. It ended up costing me about $450 to have it fixed. But Mine is an older Bendix/King. not sure if that helps, but maybe check for leaks!? Either way goodluck!
  10. Its funny, I have really been looking into this whole idea of a 201 2 window from SWTA and the example by Paul ( N3506X ) And I am now thinking that would be really nice to have before I paint my plane in the spring! I need to change the windshield anyway, might as well go all out right! hmmmmmm!!!!??!
  11. I have the one piece window mod and it looks better than having the split window and I still have complete access to my avionics. I am not sure what the mod is called other than a single piece windshield. Doesn't really add that extra 1-3 MPH or anything. I know I wouldn't want to ever give up access to the avionics, its so nice when it comes to annuals and changing/inspecting things in the back of the panel! Good luck with your decision!
  12. yep thats me! I noticed your profile said puyallup and then from there realized it was someone I knew!
