  2. Does the transducer look like this? That's a Mitchell PS-211-9000 transducer rated for 30 psi, less than $40.
  3. I prefer Clinton Aero Maintenance at W32 (Hyde Field in the DC FRZ). They have quite a lot of Mooney experience and are thorough and fair. If you don't already have a PIN to fly in the FRZ, it might be more hassle than you'd like to get the plane in and out of the shop.
  4. I am very happy with my canopy and tail covers from Ground Tech http://www.planecover.com/
  5. The Icom IC-A14 displays battery voltage when you turn it on. I haven't charged it in months, yet surprisingly the rechargable lithium ion battery is still showing plenty of voltage.
  6. I'm very happy with my Icom IC-A14. The lithium battery seems to last forever.
  7. Suggest you contact Bob Bramble at Aerolab - very experienced with these units and good prices. http://www.aerolabaviation.com/
  8. I'm using Shenandoah Avionics. Todd there has done several other Aspens and says it should take about a week. I managed to get Aspen to extend the Oshkosh rebate a bit which helped make the decision.
  9. I've been fighting the same issue intermittently and on top of that my KI-256 is now sending garbage to the autopilot. So just ordered an Aspen and their EA-100 autopilot adapter (which is supposed to ship later this month) to interface with the KFC-150.
  10. Quote: Mitch Seriously, they will not give a time frame on the release of the unit. It is being revamped as of this writing, so they say..........but no other information when you will be able to get it.
  11. I reckon the plane could handle higher speed flap actuation, but I imagine it is harder on the equipment. Personally I aim for lower airspeed actuation of gear and flaps in my M20J.
  12. I would still love to participate in this if there is any chance of getting it together.
  13. I found metal in two successive oil changes soon after buying my plane. The engine was getting up in time, so I put in a remanufactured engine which has been working great for 270 hours.
  14. I would certainly be interested if a clinic were offered later in the year.
