  3. You have got to be kidding me.... What a small world. I did take out the backseats prior to leaving, I was amazed how much cargo I can get in the back of it. I don't think the seats are going to go back in for sometime.
  4. It was delivered a week ago by our own Parker Woodruff and it was exactly as advertised. I had an extremely pleasant buying experience from All American and Don Maxwell. The differences between my 1967 F model and the 1984 J model are very noticeable. LOVE the removable seats, higher extension gear speed, fit and finish of the interior, etc... Some of you probably saw this on the AOPA board, but I have to support the Mooney guys. Pictures are in my gallery.

  6. You are right Jim. And to think I was all proud of my joke. Those radios are a trip... Are the functioning Adam? Any more pics of the interior?
  7. Congratulations on selling your F. That is a cool looking plane, but it begs the question.... What the hell were those guys thinking back in the 60s? I can see the Mooney design team now: "John throw another dart so we can figure out where to put the turn coordinator."
  8. I think the advantage from the one piece belly is the ease of removal during maintenance. I actually had a mechanic refuse to work on my '67 F model because it didn't have a one piece belly mod...
  9. Does anyone know what the weight penalty is for the new interior from the factory compared to a 1984 M20J?
  10. Quote: Rustler Matt-- I purchased my '80 "J" from Jimmy/AAA in October, and for my money, you couldn't be dealing with a better group. They know what they're talking about, and you can trust what they say. I also second the comment about Barron Thomas. I had a really bad experience with him and, like other posters, won't even read his ads. Michael
  11. It was being flown a lot recently. Then engine was overhauled in 2003 and already has 800 hours on it. To me, that is a good thing. If/when the deal is closed, I can let you know what the deal is with the price. Needless to say, when I was looking to upgrade avionics/airframe of my friend's plane, it came out to $20,000 over what Jimmy and I agreed upon with this Mooney and his would still be an F. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but no matter how hard you try, an F model is still an F model. I am really looking forward to taking advantage if those fold down seats with my dogs. Have not checked on the useful load, but with my mission, I will be willing to give some up for the equipment on this aircraft. Ill let everyone know how it goes.
