  1. Thanks, and the first picture is under the floor panel, accessed from underneath..guess I'll see it when I remove the belly panels during annual next month..thanks..I had the Indicator housing off to repair it so I know that part isn't affected..
  2. Is there any way to adjust the Trim Position Indicator, mine is WAY off? V/r Matt
  3. Well, my eyes are going and I can barely read the (copy of copies) performance charts out of the POH , so I had some down time and decided to recreate the performance charts for the aircraft (attached). Hopefully there are others that can use them, even though virtually everyone uses an EFB that has the performance date on them... V/r Matt Mooney M20E Performance Charts.xlsx
  4. Can you send more specific info cause I asked Mooney about something similar and they didn't want to be bothered...if you don't mind, can you throw a ballpark price as to how much it cost? TIA
  5. They still have to meet manufactures specs as well as testing and certification
  6. Have you tried these guys, quality retreats for 1/2 the price, also Goodyear, atleast the ones they sent me. sales@wilkersonaircrafttires.com
  7. My plane isn't down, trying to get everything done before my next inspection in 100hrs, that way if it fails, I have a solution..
  8. I will contact a DER and ask the questions and let y'all know
  9. Exactly, i was just looking from a durability standpoint, but 6-ply is a bit stiffer.
  10. Well, how about you send some of that $$$$$$$ my way so I can hire a DER to help us out
  11. Thanks, so a retread that's a 5.00 x 5 4-ply retreat will probably be a larger diameter than a 5.00 x 5 4-ply non-retread?
  12. are 5.00 - 5 6-ply tires larger in diameter than 5.00 x 5 4-ply..looking at retreads to keep on hand as spares, like the durability of 6-ply vs 4-ply but worried if larger diameter that there might be an issue in regarding to the front wheel well? TIA Matt
  13. Thank you for your time...I appreciate it...waiting to hear back from my avionics guy. V/r matt
  14. Thanks, 2 questions, regardless of the mode, shouldn't the compass on each of the ADI and HSI be the same and, how do I change it to the heading mode, which would be my preference.. TIA Matt
  15. So, out flying and noticed that there is a 46 degree difference between the ADI Compass heading and the HSI Compass heading...The ADI aligns with the RWY heading and Standby Magnetic Compass..so not sure why the disparity between the ADI Compass and HSI Compass. I'm aware of the difference between heading and track, I just used the track bug to show the compass setting to get the difference between the 2.. also, when changing the HSI to ADI the error is still there.. Any ideas? TIA
  16. thanks Hank, I appreciate the clarification
  17. It's still in there under 45.29 Size of Marks (b) 1-i which is what is confusing me
  18. So is this just a poorly written statement: An aircraft displaying marks at least 2 inches high before November 1, 1981 and an aircraft manufactured after November 2, 1981, but before January 1, 1983, may display those marks until the aircraft is repainted or the marks are repainted, restored, or changed It leads me to believe, since a comma was used as opposed to a period, that when you repaint, restore or change, it has to go to 12"
  19. How were you able to maintain the smaller registration numbers, as I read the requirements, the smaller registration numbers are no longer allowed once the acft receives a new paint job with few exceptions...only asking because I'd like to keep the smaller registration numbers myself when my 66 gets repainted.. TIA
  20. Understood, had heard of individuals fabricating the tools necessary to remove the front pucks so that they could separate the truss
