  1. That's why I'm looking for used parts so that the metalurgist can determine that
  2. Thanks, I've reached out to them but no success, hopefully the metalurgist will be able to recommend the appropriate material, I'm sure there are resources regarding the types of metals used with aircraft gearing.

  4. Anyone know what this mounting bracket goes to on a 1966 M20E
  5. I have an original gear and original worm gear, they are getting scanned and drawn up, will let everyone know when it is completed as I need to get the original part back to the owner who was nice enough to loan it to me...unfortunately I have been unsuccessful finding a set of old, out of tolerance, gears for the destructive testing for the metalurgist
  6. You go to their website and you would thing that it's still up and running, hear they have some good reference materials that you can only get as a member.
  7. I have to check to see if they cashed the check...lol, will be pissed if they did and I don't hear back from them
  8. Thanks Hank
  9. That's what I'm gathering, coming over from a Piper...which states total capacity then usable quantity...
  10. Thanks, so if I understand NOTE 1, in regards to fuel capacity, it is already accounted for so there is 26 gallons of usable fuel in each tank
  11. Searched but didn't find that this was posted previously....1966 M20E, what is the un-usable fuel, can't find it anywhere in the manual and haven't flown an aircraft yet that had 100% usable? TIA, Matt
  12. Evidently, my aircraft was delivered with the Johnson Bar and then "upgraded" to the Electrical Actuator, so I am assuming that it can be returned to the J-Bar, just finding the parts to do so..maybe someone on here has done that.
  13. 2005, not sure if they are still around under a new owner
  14. For Dukes Actuator Motor Rebuild it was done at George's Electrical 1336 Santa Ana Ave Sacramento, CA 95838 (916) 922-4277
  15. Went to their website, completed and mailed in a membership, no response from email and phone number out of service...
  16. If ANY of you have a set of old, non-serviceable gears, please send them my way, I am looking for a set for destructive testing so that I can determine the exact material composition in order to fabricate a set. TIA
  17. You certainly changed your tune...And why can't or won't you say anything else, come to realize you put in the wrong freq?
  18. I'm out of town but my actuator motor was rebuilt for a reasonable price, I will post the name of the Motor Company that does it..
  19. Searched and didn't come up with anything, if you come across it, let me know
  20. Thanks, I'll check it out
  21. Which is why I'm trying this route
  22. Hey Guys, Currently working on getting these gears drawn up in CAD and possibly made, having them drawn up in both 20:1 and 40:1 gearing ratio. An individual was nice enough to loan me a new set of gears to use as masters but I need a set of gears that failed their inspections and were removed, not sure why someone would keep them after replacement, but hoping someone did as They need to do some destructive testing to determine the metallurgy of the gearing material so that the specification can call out for material that meets/exceeds current gear material and strength..As mentioned, it is destructive testing so thats why they would need to be donors. If anyone knows anyone..let me know.
