  1. Mine seemed to go well, but I made some mistakes and will probably redo it I used the knot2u and stripped it down well glued it and shut the door which was really hard to shut I left it with hanger heat at 65 overnight. it was still hard to shut from the outside and couldn’t shut from the inside this is where we made my mistake. I should have given it another day or two to compress but couldn’t help myself and started trimming. the door shuts great now but I have wind under the door. I trimmed there and that obviously was not the tight spot if I do it again, I will temp blue tape it, get several strips of paper to check fit and adjust before gluing. also, I will leave it to compress for 2 days
  2. I ordered the knots2u door seal, glue stripper and adhesive from their website. Any pearls on doing this ? Is a pretty straightforward and effective job to do ?
  3. Nice plane. Looking up specs, I found this for anyone interested: AOPA 1999 on the Mooney Eagle
  4. I had a C model with the crank on the pilot side. crank it up crank it down Pretty cool actually.
  5. my console looks the same too, 75F model except below the lighting where the vent is. Here’s a picture of mine if it helps you. Black knob also.
  6. I had a couple of issues with this, kind of finicky. For me, it was a slipped push pull cable, and I can attach a picture of that and another diagram that has been posted previously of how the valve works.
  7. The wool was a little more expensive but I felt it was worth it. I did not do the install myself, I had the AP do it at annual and reasonable. The side panels I don’t think required a backing board. The carpet seemed to be rigid enough.
  8. I just got mine in, ordered from SCS, and super happy that I decided to do this. Wool, color Walnut.
  9. My M20F is getting its first annual since I bought it. I didn’t realize how much time I spent on it even when I wasn’t flying it. Miss the ‘ole girl
  10. Thank you for posting. I did not know about this instructor. Janice is awesome !
  11. Thank you. I had changed to the led nav lights and the panel light did not dim. my floor indicator is out but I think that is just a burned out bulb and waiting to get at it.
  12. Could you elaborate on this ? Which gear down bulb dimms ? The one on the panel or the floor indicator when switching to LED ?
  13. I have a Dukes style too as part with a bad motor. Won’t run in a certain position. I found a working motor actuator and already on the plane. No idea where to get this extra motor rebuilt and tried calling multiple places people mentioned in old posts.
  14. Sweet ! I can’t wait to have some light on the subject down there I love owning this plane : ) thank you all.
