  1. Thank you guys @Falcon Man yes, I have gfc500 autopilot now. I will take your advice on looking close at the autopilot function no, I have never used Oxygen before appreciate the reference for Kerry McIntyre for log books and turbo experience.
  2. Reading a lot of these posts about operating the turbo and monitoring to not over boost what is the learning curve to go from a normally aspirated f or j to a m20k 231 with intercooler and Merlyn ? I see a 231 that I am interested in but kind of intimidating from reading the posts.
  3. Yeah, i may do that. The mechanic put one on like that with the round wemac vent but it is too small. When I calculated the diameter surface, it was like 16/1 smaller. I am playing around with 3 d printing another similar style part and will share if it works out. My fall back position is to use a wemac vent
  4. Did you find the part/part number to search ? Mine just broke too : /
  5. Thank you for posting here. That is inspirational and I am eager to accomplish some of my own less ambitious trips to start. super cool !
  6. Mine seemed to go well, but I made some mistakes and will probably redo it I used the knot2u and stripped it down well glued it and shut the door which was really hard to shut I left it with hanger heat at 65 overnight. it was still hard to shut from the outside and couldn’t shut from the inside this is where we made my mistake. I should have given it another day or two to compress but couldn’t help myself and started trimming. the door shuts great now but I have wind under the door. I trimmed there and that obviously was not the tight spot if I do it again, I will temp blue tape it, get several strips of paper to check fit and adjust before gluing. also, I will leave it to compress for 2 days
  7. I ordered the knots2u door seal, glue stripper and adhesive from their website. Any pearls on doing this ? Is a pretty straightforward and effective job to do ?
  8. Nice plane. Looking up specs, I found this for anyone interested: AOPA 1999 on the Mooney Eagle
  9. I had a C model with the crank on the pilot side. crank it up crank it down Pretty cool actually.
  10. my console looks the same too, 75F model except below the lighting where the vent is. Here’s a picture of mine if it helps you. Black knob also.
  11. I had a couple of issues with this, kind of finicky. For me, it was a slipped push pull cable, and I can attach a picture of that and another diagram that has been posted previously of how the valve works.
  12. The wool was a little more expensive but I felt it was worth it. I did not do the install myself, I had the AP do it at annual and reasonable. The side panels I don’t think required a backing board. The carpet seemed to be rigid enough.
  13. I just got mine in, ordered from SCS, and super happy that I decided to do this. Wool, color Walnut.
  14. My M20F is getting its first annual since I bought it. I didn’t realize how much time I spent on it even when I wasn’t flying it. Miss the ‘ole girl
