  1. Thank you. I had changed to the led nav lights and the panel light did not dim. my floor indicator is out but I think that is just a burned out bulb and waiting to get at it.
  2. Could you elaborate on this ? Which gear down bulb dimms ? The one on the panel or the floor indicator when switching to LED ?
  3. I have a Dukes style too as part with a bad motor. Won’t run in a certain position. I found a working motor actuator and already on the plane. No idea where to get this extra motor rebuilt and tried calling multiple places people mentioned in old posts.
  4. Sweet ! I can’t wait to have some light on the subject down there I love owning this plane : ) thank you all.
  5. Thank you all for the info and the info and the pictures. I am learning that I need my sqwuak list handy at all times to write things down, otherwise I never chase it down. I did not know that it was supposed to be illuminated.
  6. I have a 1975 M20F i struggle to see the gear indicator without getting my eyes close to it and often shining a light on it. I saw this picture of an illuminated indicator on prior posts. Is there supposed to be a bulb behind mine or is that a later thing or modification ? I do have this little post light that is supposed to shine on it but super weak lighting and getting at it looks hard to me. I thought the plane was clean until I see the close up picture also, get a normal looking centered green gear down in the box, but gear up, enroute, it looks like this now
  7. Yeah, it is sold, I had someone take care of the sale and he posted that and hasn’t taken it down. I got an F model because the avionics were all updated and had a Garmin autopilot and I was overwhelmed with upgrading it myself. Aside from the avionics upgrade….. that C model was just a super cool and fast plane and even more fun to fly. I miss the manual gear and hydraulic flaps !! Highly recommend the C if you are looking.
  8. Aircraft spruce was cheapest 177
  9. In Michigan. Lapeer Aviation based at KFNT They are a mooney service center
  10. 3.5 hrs now that I look. Pretty darn quick ! It helped me decide to do it, when he said he has done a lot of them and that is about the time he needs. $1955.25 for 11 discs Happy it is done
  11. My prior post about emergency gear extension got deleted, but all is working now and I ended up putting an actuator from a J model in my F and the dual relays , new downlock and squat switches and rerigged and working well. i decided to do the shock discs , even though they were not terribly old, 2012. Happy I did that , and fyi, anyone thinking of doing those or waiting, taxi is noticeably smoother for me. 3 hrs mechanic time for the shock discs and I felt like it was well worth it.
  12. Super nice plane and panel ! I know what you mean about being a caretaker. 1975 F model new to me last summer and feeling super responsible to take the best care I can and do right by it !
  13. i am interested. Sending you a direct message.
