  1. Super nice plane and panel ! I know what you mean about being a caretaker. 1975 F model new to me last summer and feeling super responsible to take the best care I can and do right by it !
  2. i am interested. Sending you a direct message.

  4. So, it IS normal to make machine gun sounds in your mind ! : )
  5. Uh oh , I have a new to me F model and have the landing light ‘guns’ button. Is there an issue with this ? there are two associated wires that I feel at the base of the throttle which kinda bug me.
  6. N78928 posted is my plane and I asked Jack to list it for me and handle taking calls and selling it. He is very knowledgeable about the plane and better at fielding questions that I am. I bought the plane a couple years ago to get back into flying. I had owned a B35 in the past, but this plane got back into flying and I learned to really like the mooneys and mooneyspace. The plane was good for me and I flew it VFR regularly. I considered redoing the panel on the plane but honestly it was over my head deciding, logistically and time having it done. The reason I am selling is: I bought an F model from Jimmie at GMax early August with an upgraded panel, Garmin auto pilot, avidyne IFD 540, primary engine monitor, dual G5, etc., all done of course for a lot more money, because I wanted to progress in my flying and do longer missions. The history of the C model N78928 made me feel comfortable when I bought it and it has low engine time. It was owned by an AP in north Texas near Oklahoma for 46 yrs who babied it and did a lot of speed mods. when I got it, I had done whatever to make it solid and things including firewall forward hoses , adsb tailbeacon, starter, battery tires and tubes ect the plane continues to fly regularly. Jack is super knowledgeable in general and about the plane and best to answer technical questions.
  7. Super nice.
  8. Question about my trim indicator arrow on 75 F model the indicator does work but it does not move continuously with every turn of the trim wheel. it is well above the take off indicator after landing and then u want to trim back down to just above the white take off indicator line , but find I have to go past it and then back up. Is this a lubrication issue or a broken cable , kinda doubt it is broken. Wondering where I can get to it to use penetrating oil on it.
  9. Nice. I can have sharp new switch covers and lettering ? Do they just pop off and back on from the front or do I need to take the switch out to change the covers ?
  10. New whelen chroma nav lights I got the new LED vac lights and actually felt good about paying $130 a light. They are super bright. Same color lenses. I think this will solve my occasional breaker switch tripping
  11. Nice !! Thank you for the information I was on the website trying to figure out and searching the Klixon switches too I will get the chromas with the Pma and be done with it. thank you for all the input on the breaker switches and parts numbers too
  12. That was my thought too. The breaker is getting weak but still works and the lighter draw from LED would be quick and easy fix. Then I started reading posts about LED lights. if I use white led. Will it work with my rad and green lenses since it is not full spectrum light ? and if I get the colored LED chroma lights I would need to buy clear lenses or just keep the green and red ? also I read posts about people saying they may cause dimming the annunciation panel and interfering with the magnatometer ? If it is in the close in the wing. I have no idea where that is.
  13. For what it is worth, I wanted a Prebuy and kind of quick but could not find someone not related to the airplane. I found this someone who would do a mobile Prebuy and got more than I expected and very good information for me and hundreds of pictures and videos of the process, Mike Teager. idk if I can post his contact information but feel free to message me if anyone is interested.
  14. I have kind of a general question that keeps coming up. How do I easily find the part numbers for things on my plane that need attention. 1975 F model is my new plane. In particular, I have a nav breaker switch that works for a long while and then switches off. klixon breaker switch ? super happy with the new plane and panel.
