  1. The previous owner did it in lue of an overhaul. I can only compare it to my previous F which had an IO 360 and it does give you a better climb. As for cruise, I dont push the engine but I comfortably get 160kts burning 9.5gph

  6. Stupid question but does anyone know if the voltage regulator is tied into the engine monitor??? and if not... there are 4 cables going into the voltage regulator... what do that supply? Its in a 1988 M20J

  10. My alternator just went bad on my 1988 Money M20J 205SE that has a lycoming io 390 engine. The alternator was a prestolite 24V. Unfortunatly they dont make aircraft alternators any more. Does anyone know of a sutable replacement?

  18. I developed a small crack in my muffler... is this something that can be repaired/welded?

  20. I have the original sun visors in my 1988 M20J 205 Se but the clips are falling off. Is there an easy fix for this? Also I do have a new set of Rosen visors I was debating to install but I'm not sure how to remove the old ones and how to install the new ones as the new ones seem to have a larger screw. Any help would be appreciated.

I completed the IFR6 course about a year and a half ago and the staff was amazing. 5 days into the course I had a flap retraction issue that did not allow me to complete the last day and they were very accommodating on scheduling me the following month after I had the repair completed. I passed my course and have nothing but praise for the staff. It was very challenging with 10 hour days most of the time and then study time when I got back to the hotel. I would highly recommend them to anyone. AOPA has a review of their course and gave them a good review.
  22. Does anyone have a forflight profile on this aircraft?
  23. Just developed a new issue today.... As Im taking off my trim is in take Off position, as I climb I need to trim down a little to keep the nose from going to high... once I get to altitude in order to keep the plane level I have to trim almost all the way down at a cruise of 156kts. Its only after I slow the plane to below 120kts I can finally trim up a little.... Any thought to the issue... PS when set to takeoff the horizontal stabilizer is pitched in a slightly down position...
  24. Just curious to hear from anyone who is using a UGB engine monitor or other type of engine monitor what temps do you use for your high and low settings.
