  1. Another data point from my plane (which is not in the shop yet and the paint damage keeps getting worst). In 9/2022 we repositioned the sump drain valve as when (before my time) the aux were installed, the sump were not located at the lower point which allowed for water to accumulate. In order to reposition the valve we opened up the aux and resealed the tanks, that was done 9/22 with no leaks until started using G100 approx 12/2024. The material used to seal is attached. I pulled this from my invoices Hope this adds another data point
  2. you just move the nozzle from the aux port to the main port and it drips sometimes painted in 1984 w/100UL I don't have to worry about staining nor having worry about the nozzle
  3. top of my wings...permanently stained by G100. Unfortunately my plane hasn't hit the shop yet, they have been super busy and they don't have space in the hanger yet. I hope this coming week. The pain peeling has gone a bit worst. The leak seems to be confined in the Copilot Aux, however a paint buy a rivet in the co-aux popped as well as the paint on a rivet in the pilot main.
  4. is the diaphragm in the flow divider be affected by the G100?
  5. welcome to the club!!
  6. quick update, I talked to the airport manager today at KWVI. They have sold about 18000 gallons of fuel in about 30 days now and he has not heard any complaints. He was very supportive and asked me to keep him in the loop. He also contacted GAMI himself. He too has been using G100 but he has a BO and obviously has bladders.
  7. well the cat is our of the bag now. still nothing from my mechanic hopefully I get something late this week, beginning next
  8. that's at KRHV, mine is at KWVI.
  9. I just talked to the A&P AI at the field that helped GAMI with the paperwork, he is going to reach out to Paul and put this front and center. I also emailed the airport manager at KWVI. Let's see if they stop selling G100
  10. that would open them up for liabilities, ultimately the problems came out in week(s) not years.
  11. what about the continental?
  12. how does it work if the claim was G100UL is drop in with an STC and then it is not? do they pull the STC?
  13. https://www.avweb.com/aviation-news/california-mechanics-tests-show-g100ul-paint-nitrile-o-ring-damage-under-some-circumstances/ I passed the video to the team at Gami that is on the email chain with my shop
  14. where does the vapor go? (out of curiosity)
  15. go and look at my mooney, it is spot 02-02 or it is with Terry.
  16. I do. the paint is peeling off from there the fuel is coming out. I am it's not my job, I didn't design the fuel nor commercialized it. This is Gami's job
  17. I went and check on my plane yesterday they are waiting for some planes to leave the hangar so they can bring it inside and open up the tanks. I should have taken pics, maybe I will after the holidays. One new leak from a rivet. I also now have some red-ish drop like stains on top of the tanks. probably from spillage when moving the nozzle.
  18. for me was the fuel vapor check valve. the vapor couldn't go back into the tanks and the pump eventually couldn't push fuel. High fluctuations same graph as urs.
  19. Wanted to get going a poll to assess pilot experience w/out the commentary.
  20. about 2 weeks into this thread, there are only 2 Mooneys with issues, mine and another one. - How many people here have used G100UL without any problems? - How many have chosen not to use it because of this thread? - How many are using it w/out problem? is there a way to do a poll?
  21. definitely the paperwork that came with the STC was not comprehensive in describing how aggressive the fuel is towards paint. This is not normal good or bad paint, new or old. still waiting on my mechanic to see if this is limited to the co-main or all 4 tanks.
  22. I agree 100% given I am the one with the issue. I think if they would have made stronger and more conservative disclaimers it would have raised more awareness. It is also advertised as having 2-3% more power and therefore you will see less fuel consumption relatively speaking. on 3 flights it was 13.1-13.3 all the way, same as 100LL. It also smells awful not that 100LL is roses but damn......
  23. that fuel is probably gone. but I have about 70 gallons in my plane
