  1. The static lag setting of 1 will result in slightly less precise altitude hold, but it's worth it for the better ride. you are on the right track, and I would agree that waiting for a smooth day is the best idea for doing further adjusting. What you are proposing in your "AP assist" is certainly a great way to let the AP be a pilot aid in a difficult / high workload time. It is a tool in your pouch, we use different tools at different times and in different ways. While it can't fly the coupled to analog signals, because it is a track based system, once established, you can let it help and tweak as needed to keep the needles centered. This is exactly how I have been advising pilots to fly VORs for years! Thanks! ~Andrew
  2. Thanks, I try to check on the forums somewhat regularly, but the last few weeks have put me behind. If there is a ever a question that I miss, feel free to reach out to me directly! I am always here to help!
  3. Greg is pretty much correct. We did have a list, and that list has been transferred to BK. Those persons will have first shot at their units when we get the STC. I spoke with the engineer in charge of the project again today, and he is pushing every day to get this done. Pushing a rope is exactly how it feels sometimes. I believe there to be somewhere around 75 names on the list, and honestly I know that some have had to move on due to our delays. I completely understand why they would need to move on, we have been slow. Anyway, when we do begin shipping, we will do EVERYTHING in our power to have enough to handle the demand without too much delay. Also, I purposely NEVER accepted a deposit from a prospective customer, because these deals always take longer than expected or in some cases never happen (not suggesting in anyway that I don't expect this one to happen). See you all soon, hopefully! ~Andrew
  4. I wish that would work! The truth is that there is just so much work to do and not enough FAA engineers to get it done, that is why a lot of our projects go through other pathways. The TT product line was done direct with the FAA and has stayed on that track since then. We surely appreciate the dedication and willingness to help out! ~Andrew
  5. LOL, it's not BK wheels that need the grease! Currently we are in an FAA holding pattern.
  6. I will say that while we don't have a date locked in yet, we are working very hard to get this wrapped up. Waiting on FAA feedback from our last batch of submitted docs. fingers crossed! Thanks, Andrew
  7. I do want to give you folks a heads up, and I am leaving BK. Andrew Barker will be taking my place, so you'll be in good hands. I appreciate the enthusiasm around this product, and I really hope we can give you folks good news really soon. Cheers, Steve
  8. The Russians weren't keen on providing unobtainium for vaporware...... All jokes aside, this is not vaporware just the all important FAA paperwork is. We'll keep updating as news comes out. Cheers, Steve
  9. I would call around to our repair partners SEA, and Duncan would be the other calls I would make. https://www.bendixking.com/en/pages/repair-partners I would be interested to see the quote you get from them. Cheers, Steve
  10. The great news about Aspen! I know Andrew has a really good relationship with the folks at Aspen, so that will be excellent when that interface is completed.
  11. @Hillard I hope your managing ok with all the fires. I appreciate the solid honest feedback. I'll send you a PM with some contact info for tech support. It sounds like initially you've got it handled, but I would like you to share your experience with tech support just to make sure there are no systemic problems. Cheers, Steve
  12. Just you a PM with the info. I'm sure he wouldn't turn down a ride Cheers, Steve
  13. Hi Folks, Still no news on my end. I will continue to update as soon as we get any news. Happy New Year, Steve
  14. @Bravoman The AeroCruze 230 is available right now, and compatibility with the G500 TXi was just added to the STC prior to the new year. I can put you in touch with the sales manager for the Atlanta area as well, if you want. Happy New Year, Steve
  15. Great question. We just got the updated STC today that adds G500 TXi compatibility and list of high wing aircraft. I'll see what are the plans for the Aspen units in terms on integration. Cheers, Steve
  16. Initial paperwork is in the hands of the FAA, but they are not known for their speed especially around the holidays. I appreciate the patience as we all wait on the FAA. Cheers, Steve
  17. Yes, guaranteed that the M20E will be included since that was used for the basis of the certification.
  18. Hi Folks, Still waiting to hear back from the FAA on the final AML to see what airframes are to be included. I think the FAA is just moving slow right now because it took me 42 days to get my card for my part 107 cert.....
  19. Hi Folks, Here's the link to the youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl0PpWYBHfw @cliffy As far as the model list goes, we want all M20 models but the FAA may have different thought on that. We expect a final model list from them in the next couple of weeks. @NJMac IAS feature is something we are seriously looking at, and mostly likely will roll in to the experimental market first, before it gets to certified. As of right now the AeroCruze 100 only accepts digital signals, and no analog signals even if they are converted to digital through a navigator. We're actively working to build out the feature set on the AeroCruze 100 series, but we need to get past the STC push first.
  20. Hi Folks, Having another webinar around the AeroCruze autopilots. This is going to be a functional webinar on autopilot operation and getting to know your autopilot a bit better then you do already. It is going to have an update about the Mooney STC, so I would encourage joining. It is run through SocialFlight and the registeration is below. https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6137242311376870155 See you tomorrow, Steve
  21. Jonathan, I'm glad everything went well! Please let me know if you need anything else
  22. Youtube video is up for anyone that missed the webinar
  23. @Navi Impressive notes! Great short overview for those who missed it. @bob865 I'm doing some editing to clean up some of the audio. Should be up tomorrow afternoon sometime. I'll post the link as soon as I get it. I just want to thank everyone that showed up last night. A lot of really great questions were asked! Cheers, Steve
