  1. Hello, I am pilot SEP IR with 3000hrs, and 1700hrs on Mooney. Just relocated to Chicago from France for two years. Mooney M20J MSE OWNER FOR 22 years in France. I have a US license need to do BFR and will do soon. I like to fly (and will contribute to sharing the cost) with you if you have a Mooney and like to have somebody to fly with you. I will offer you to do the same if you visit europe. Pictures of my plane in France. I will be in Oskosh July 27-29.

  5. I just installed GFC500 with GTN750 G3X… no YD on my J and it works fine, both in Cruze and approaches big improvement to old KAP150 it follows the line in NAV mode

  8. Going with GTN750 one very good option is to install GMA35 remote panel control and use the touch screen of the GTN750 for audio control. Have installed it in my 1st upgrade and love it. Then i kept it going full digital in my secon upgrade. G3X, GTN750, GTN650, GFC500, GTX345… you will not regret Philip
  9. Good help : I will definitively try LOP at my next cross coutry trip when 80k or above. If i got it right : full throttle, 2500rpm, and mixture LOP just passing the peak. Philip
  10. Thanks you are correct. Interesting IFR approach points OMARD stands for LOBSTER, MERLU for HAKE,… all good fish you get in Calvi at the restaurants

  16. Hello, I have installed full digital panel G3X, GTN750, GTN650, GTX345, and all GARMIN upgrades made properly. I have a separate contract with JEPPESSEN for 1x Year. Loading the Maps via JDM on the G3X SD cards then inserted the SD card in the G3X. Reading the maps on the G3X i see the airport i am based at, searching for different airport maps, some work for airports nearby, but many cannot read, and the G3X turns into black screen, then reset and works back to normal. But quite embarrassing getting black panel in flight for 1mn…. Anybody had similar problems and found a solution? Thanks, Philip

  18. Hello with G3X EIS now installed should i consider to change the injectors for GAMI on my M20J IO-360 200hp ? I know they allow to run LOP ON 6x Cylinders’ what about on 4x IO-360 running 9 to 10 gallons ROP? Thanks Philip

  22. Hello, In france and europe a trip to Corsica is a must. You will discover a beautiful island less than 2h00 flight from France cote d’azur or Italy. Being based in south of France is a very short flight in Mooney, almost like flying from Phoenix Arizona to Sedona (My favorite destination when I was leaving in USA). You must fill a flight plan and follow a route en in VFR. Quite easy, in my case i use aerorouter (free of charge). For the flight i am describing i flew IFR, just to keep up to date my IFR skills. The route is from LFMA to STP (Saint Tropez), MERLU (famous reporting point in the mediteranee), and then approach to LFKC (Calvi). For Calvi you must ask day before or better 2x days before for parking slot (PPR). Landing fee is and parking forone night about 80€. Taxi to town, 20€, to 25€ Sunday's. Plenty of nice hotels and restaurants down town, is a small town on the see side, we were at hotel Saint-Christophe, down town with direct access to the see for a jump in water. Plenty of good restaurants… i hope i motivated you to go there. Enjoy pictures attached.
