  1. Only a a full set of tanks to the southeast! I'm located in Lower Austria. If you ever head this way, let me know and I'll see if I can meet up with you! I'm in the process of getting my plane registered, so my wings are clipped at the moment, but hopefully soon that will change...
  2. Thanks @Hyett6420 I'm in the 'neighborhood' so perhaps we'll have a chance to meet up someday. I won't make it to the EMPOA meetup this year, but would have loved to.
  3. @Avionics Source Any chance you have a used/reduced AXP340 in stock??
  4. Wow, what a team. Just spent *way too long* reading this thread, and I am so encouraged by all the support and 'free' experience you guys have given to a struggling newbie. Being a newbie myself, I can say I've been intimidated to ask for help (it gets easier as I get older and more humble) but this thread really makes me glad I bought a plane and has the "can do" that makes doing this awesome. I sure miss flying in the US, and I'm glad we have MS, so I can read encouraging stories like this. Strange place to introduce myself, but I'm so enthused by what I've read, that I must. I'll write the story on a new thread for everyone, as it may be helpful to someone, someday. Thanks guys, for all that support and encouragement. The collateral impact is great and appreciated.
  5. Need a double like for the last post. I'm cool with black as well. Not sure how the laser-etched/engraved white letters would go, but as there's no white option for the material, it seems we're stuck anyway. Closest I saw was the RIT #527, but that's not white.
  6. Paging @dcastor @Ah-1 Cobra Pilot @Kefferch @"Chocks" Please see the MS Klixon Cover thread. Your team needs you. Thanks for the tip @carusoam I tried this on a few other aviation forums and had no success, so I gave up on the lot. Sorry I doubted the MS crew!
  7. Any updates? Everything seemed to be going so well there, and then fell apart... This is too good, we can't fail at the last stage! We need a champion printer. Who's going to do the final 3D printing? We have 3 options: 1. dcastor 2. Ah-1 Cobra Pilot 3. Kefferch? For the labels, we all like the initial result from "Chocks" but he seems to have gone awol... Chocks, talk to us buddy. We need you! Anyone know someone else who can provide the same type of laser etching? The tech shouldn't be that exotic... Only other hope is the crew examining a root source for the whole switch:
  8. @cnoe: Thank you very much for that excellent information! @fantom : Thanks, but I think I'll have to pass, being too far away (shipping issues) @carusoam : Thanks for the warm welcome and the bit of info. One small adjustment though, I'm in Austria, rather than the much larger, boisterous and further away Australia. (There are a lot of shirts here that have "no kangaroos in Austria" written on them due to the easy transcription error)
  9. Old topic, but I'm in the same predicament. My M20J has the old RCA radar in it. Apparently it still works, but i don't use it (yet) as I don't fly IFR at the moment... Just came with the plane. Curious to find out how it went @lsearcy ... any updates? thanks!
  10. Wow, community surely is stronger than commerce... Never had support responses as fast as forum responses, thanks! Ok, will do. I'll find the one I like best and 'feels' best when installing and use it as the standard. Thanks Just curious though, is there a mfg spec that could be followed? Or do the parts wear down enough that the original design concept gets tossed out the window worn out and thus becomes obsolete over time?
  11. Thanks for the post. It is always great to search for something and find that someone else has already forged a path. I've another question to add that I couldn't find the answer for: Exactly which product numbers did you use? 'Thumbing' through the catalog, I see that there are 16 different length options and I think I have about 16 different camlocs on my cowling atm... so I'm not sure which is the right one. Flying an '81 201 Thanks
