  1. That looks awesome. I am planning on attending. need the wife to sign off.
  2. One of my personal preferences if I don't have an obstacle is moving my aiming point further out. This allows me to keep the normal airspeed and float that airspeed off. keep in mind you need to make sure you can make the runway! lol
  3. Awesome! See you guys there then.
  4. Man that is a scary experience. I always take flight following when available for that exact reason. Keeping to VFR altitudes (west positive + 500, east negative +500) is important.
  5. Too bad there is not an ear, nose and throat doctor on the site. Even a pediatrician would be great!
  6. Yes. I went and bought the "baby banz baby earmuffs" which we read some great reviews. My son loved the flight which shocked us because he hates the car.
  7. Guys, Quick question. I have a three month old son who just took his first flight in my Rocket. He loved it. The problem was I didn't go above 8,500 ft and decended at no more than 700 ft per min. At what point can I take him higher? Also do you guys feel the need to have any other baby items on board for health reasons other than the ear protector headsets? Still kind of nervous with how much the little man can actually take. Any info would be a great help. Thanks
  8. Las Vegas has a great mechanic I use for my 1985 m20k 231 Rocket. PM me and I will send you the info if Vegas is close enough for you.
  9. I own a 1985 mooney M20k 231 Rocket. I am in scottsdale a lot and would not mind meeting you somewhere to let you see the airplane. I love it. I previously flew a da40 the mooney is twice as fast but the con is it is like sitting in a ferrari rather than a cadilac.
  10. Hey Guys, Just seeing if anyone planned on attending the Big Bear (L35) Air Fair on 8/15/15. I am thinking of heading up for the day. Let me know if anyone else wants to link up.
  11. Looking for a canopy cover for a 231 on the cheap.
  12. Does anyone have an updated checklist?
  13. Houman where do you live?
  14. Yes it was. I flew to KSEE (san diego) and got caught in the weather on the way home. Luckily with the 796 I installed I was able to find a break in the weather to cut east back home to vegas.
  15. Preferr IFR pilots and need to be checked out by Monarch Sky.
  16. Keep in mind it is twice as fast as any other rental and burns 19.8 gals in cruise with 104 gallons. A perfect example of the cost being the same as a cessna is: Cessna from KHND to KSDL cost roughly $650 round trip based on the gold tier at monarch and will take you 4hours round trip. The rocket will do the same flight and cost you $600 round trip and will get you to and from in 2 to 2.2 hours. Per hour it is more expensive but per flight your saving money.
  17. Thanks but just out of curioustiy why do you think the rental cost is high? what price were you quoted?
  18. Man I would have loved to have joined. please do this again soon!
  19. Just looking for a flying buddy somewhere in the southwest that can keep up with my Rocket.
  20. Hey guys anyone own a rocket in the southwest? looking for a flying buddy that can keep up with my rocket.
  21. I fly a rocket. Need gear down to slow down so I would say i check it about 10 times!!! hahahaha
  22. Awesome Video. If anyone in the southwest wants to head to a formation clinic let me know!
  23. Hey Guys, Just wanted to inform anyone out in the southwest I have decided to rent out my 1985 M20k 231 Rocket to a management company out of KHND named Monarch Sky. If anyone is interested you can call Monarch Sky at (702) 631-0386. I absolutley love the rocket conversion and love being able to share such a unique category of an airplane with the guys that are tired of flying those slow cessna's! hahahaha. Hope you enjoy her as much as I do!
