  1. Depends on where they purchased the hoses from. If they went to Mooney and purchased "OEM" then the parts price would be over double. We just replaced all the oil and fuel lines (5 total) on our C model, Aviall custom made them and and TSO'd as well. $745 shipping included. Mooney dealer's factory price was over double. He actually turned me on to the Aviall shop in Dallas and gave me their number.

  3. Cooling issues. Sometimes auto correct is my worst enema.
  4. David. Nice job, looks amazing. When do you expect to have performance numbers? I think most of us fly Mooneys because we can go fast for cheap. With that in mind, I can afford to spend some money to go faster yet, especially if the dolling issues go away! Jim
  5. Thanks. I will give it a try. I still wonder what the story is behind the "missing" trim tabs on this plane?
  6. my son and I rescued a 1966 M20C out of a hanger in 2013 after setting for 10 years. We have finally gotten it mechanically up to speed and have flown it abut 10 hours in the last 2 weeks. I am finding it is flying slightly right wing heavy, doesn't seem to make any difference where the fuel balance is. Both tanks full it still does it. Looking at the ailerons, I see that it has had ground adjustable trim tabs on it at one time, as there are indications of where they have been ( stretched skin and 4 new rivets) on both ailerons. Can anyone tell me who did the STC on these tabs? Or could this have been a "back yard" attempt to fix an issue that should be rigged out of the controls? Jim
  7. Make that re-sealing. Auto correct can booger things up sometimes.
  8. Thanks Andy. We are about to get her back in the air. It had been sitting in a hanger, and the last annual was in 2003. We bought her July 2013 and have been revealing tanks, installing newer avionics, and general fix up/ maint stuff. Other than the ferry flight home last Nov she has been inactive. I owned an M20B 20 years ago, and my first corp flying job was in a M20J/ Missle conversion. I'm not new to Mooney's, just don't have the memory I once had. I appreciate all the info everyone has been able to give. Jim
  9. I would like to see your numbers and also , which mods and how much speed gain. I'm contemplating moding her up and looking for the most "bang for the buck".
  10. Did this require an STC? Where did you get it and how much?
  11. I have used ASI for prop and Gov work and have been very satisfied.

  13. I am finishing the process of an avionics upgrade in my 66 C model. Only thing I could keep was the KX155 and KI 209 glide slope head. To gain the needed panel space, I removed an old Narco MK12 and VOR head, remove the DG and installed an Ovhld Century NSD360HSI. It doesn't require a remote gyro so it saved weight and space. Added a GMA 347, GTX 327, KY197 com, and a used KLN90B. It is a good basic IFR platform, bought everything used. Got the Approach FastStack hub and harness for everything and I'm going to be at roughly $8500 when complete ( NSD360 was almost $4000 of that). So if you have panel space and can be satisfied with IFR enroute and non-WAAS approaches you can get good functionality for cheap.
  14. Looking for a donor for fltplan.com that has performance profile numbers For a newly acquired M20C.
