  1. I own an 2008 Ovation 3, and I'm having an alternator problem. Can someone please tell me what voltage regulator is used and where it's located? Thank you
  2. OK, I own an 1980 231 with a TSIO360LB engine and I currently use Champion RHM 38E spark plugs. It's time to change the plugs and would like a recommendation from a 231 guru. Is there a better plug for my engine than Champion and why? Thank you, Jon
  3. OK, the GPS is no longer for sale. I'm very sorry for any confusion, It was not my intent.
  4. OK guys, I want to be up front with everyone. My intention was to sell my 12 Volt 530W with terrain, for $500 over trade in value. My local shop, Avionics Solutions in Lafayette, LA gave me a price of $5,500. I added $500 to come up with $6,000. Gulf Coast Avionics, in Florida gave me a trade in price of $6,500. That would bring it to $7,000. I'm not trying pull one over on anyone, I'm just trying to be consistent with my original intent. I have a price quote from Gulf Coast to back up what I am saying. I have also given someone first refusal on the GPS. Est_11053_from_Gulf_Coast_Avionics_2044(1).pdf
  5. Just got my M20K home and it's in need of an oil change. It currently has Aeroshell plus, but I have always used Phillips X-Country. The engine is an LB with an intetcooler and waste gate.
  6. In my humble opinion, If the engine still has low time, I would take It apart, clean it up, hone the cylinders and put new rings. I would also comply with any service bulletins and AD's. as long as you don't have any rust or corrosion, I would not be afraid to fly it. I would also go through the mags and carb. Good luck!
  7. I have 4 or 5 people interested in the 530. I have told them who is first and second in line to buy. At this point, I will not take a deposit until I have the unit in hand. I can then send better pictures a long with part and serial numbers. Thank you everyone for your interest. Jon
  8. Just got a trade-in price from the radio shop for the 530W of $5,500. I will sell it for $6,000 plus shipping.
  9. Garmin 327 audio panel Garmin GTX 327 transponder
  10. Hello All, I'm buying an M20K with a 530W with terrain, and I plan on upgrading to the Garmin 750. I'm going to trading it in, but I won't get anywhere near what it's worth. I know they retail for $8K to $9K. The shop will only give about $6K. Anyone interested, I will take $500 over what ever the trade-in price is, plus shipping. I will be more than happy to give you the shop name and phone number, along with their written price quote. I will not be able to pick up the plane until September 25th. So it will be after that before I can get it into the shop for removal. I will also have the audio panel and transponder if interested.
  11. Perfect! I just looked at their website, I plan on doing the same.
  12. That is exactly what I was wanting to know!!! Thank you very much for your time... My next question is on the O2 system. I have never flown the Mooney that had one. All of my experience has been in a pressurized jet. Years ago I flew a T210, but I had a portable bottle. Is it automatic system or do I need to manually regulate it?
  13. I sold my M20C and I'm now buying an M20K 231 with an intercooler and a merlyn waste gate. I would like to know what manifold pressure and RPM to run. I would also like to know how to run lean of peak. What is the best delta for this engine? If you have run a TSIO-360-LB1 engine to TBO, "without" having to top the engine, you are pilot I'm looking to hear from.
