Fibreman Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Has anyone a faulty Hoskins Strobe 701295 (electronics unit) please? Specifically looking for a Goodrich 202726 Transformer (ferrite not cracked/broken). Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted July 7, 2013 Report Posted July 7, 2013 Maybe. I am just finishing up my annual and checked the strobes and one did not work. My friend was trouble shooting the strobes and said that one of he power supplies did not work ( I have two spare supplies). If I have a bad one ill give it to you if you pay shipping. After all I got them for free. Quote
jetdriven Posted July 7, 2013 Report Posted July 7, 2013 You can wire up a Whelen strobe power supply, just swap two wires. Quote
Fibreman Posted July 7, 2013 Author Report Posted July 7, 2013 N201MKTurbo Thank you, a kind offer we will gladly accept. Jet Appreciate your suggestion, thank you. Will need to look into STC certified, Plan B. Quote
jetdriven Posted July 7, 2013 Report Posted July 7, 2013 An STC is not required to change a strobe power supply, just a log entry. A flash tube is a standard aircraft part. Quote
