The guides that allow you to move the front seats back & forth appear to be worn out and therefore only have 2 positions that lock.  My mechanic told me there really is no fix for this other than maybe finding some other used ones to replace them.  Anyone else had this problem or aware of a fix?  thanks.

You could go to McFarlane and they have blank extrusions available.  I’m sure one of the extrusions would match what we have in our planes.  You would need to machine it yourself or have McFarlane do the machine work. Go owner supplied part and then have your mechanic install the new rail.  The rail is about $2+/- per inch and I’m not sure what the machine work is worth but if you have access to a milling machine you could do it yourself.

Getting them from an older aircraft they might be worn as well and mounting holes may not line up.  I do have an old 65E model I’m parting out but I’m sure they are quiet troublesome to remove.  The rails are bolted and riveted in place.

There is a guy in Sebastian, Fl,  X26, that had a damaged M20G that he was parting out. That was a few years ago. I got my seats out of it from him.

Bob is his name(forgot last name) # 772-589-0800. He might be able to help you out.
