Cessna738 Posted November 8, 2025 Report Posted November 8, 2025 (edited) Hello, My POH has a never exceed operating speed of 100 mph for flaps. But, for takeoff and climb it has a max speed of 150. How does this jibe? Thanks. , Edited November 8, 2025 by Cessna738
takair Posted November 8, 2025 Report Posted November 8, 2025 It does not jibe. Where are you seeing this in the manual? Cowl flap is 150 and would be called out for takeoff and climb but wing flap is always 100. 1
Shadrach Posted November 8, 2025 Report Posted November 8, 2025 Rather short operator’s manual associated with the 1965 M20E. The only 150 mph reference I find it for Maximum Structural Cruising Speed.
Immelman Posted November 8, 2025 Report Posted November 8, 2025 1966 E here. Cowl flaps are placarded to be closed @ 150mph. Could that be the confusion? Max flap extension speed (top of white arc) most definitely tops out at 100mph. 1
