I am replacing my rebuilt (twice) Electrodelta VR 802 voltage regulator.  The replacement is a (International Avionics Inc.) Mooney Part # 940170-501 which is a replacement for Mooney Part # 800270-501.  The replacement VR is smaller than the VR 802 and a new bracket is needed.  Has anyone done this and if so is there a drawing or sketch of the bracket, or does one fabricate one?

maybe 15 years ago I replaced my OEM VR (77 J) with a Zeftronics unit, and I don't recall replacing any bracket.  Accessing the location is a PITA, however!

Are you talking about the shelf above the passenger's left knee?  Mine was starting to look like swiss cheese because of all the different antenna splitters that had been mounted on the forward side.  So I drew it and cut a new one on my CNC machine.

This is an easy enough part to make by hand, but if you want something that looks like it came from the factory I can cut one for you.

Mine is on the right sidewall, behind the circuit breakers and close to the firewall.  I know things like this moved around over the years, though!

Aerodon, thanks for the offer, but I'll make one myself.  Thanks again!
