M20JFlyer Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 The KAP 150 AP KS 177 Pitch Servo Part # 065-0050-04. Was some posting on this subject in February thru August of 2011. Post person was indicating an overhaul experience for the servo, with large variance in OH price. Recall the Post had a $1,500 to $750.00 variance. Also someone had replaced manual electric trim switch. Does anyone know part#(s) for the three switches on the control wheel. Having problems with manual electric trim preventing the Autopilot from succesful test. Was shooting approaches and all was well with AP intercepting LOC and GS on four approaches. Approx ten minutes later on final to landing the electric trim went in-op. The trim went nose down required heavy back pressure, I fought it for about ten secons, CWS and disconect did not stop nose down, then hit avionics master to kill AP ... all went well. After shut down can not get AP to conduct succesful self test. This is a 91 J model with no prior glitches in AP system last five years. Any suggestions appreciated. Quote
kortopates Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 I assume your "After shut down self test" is with the engine running (or Stanby vacuum on) with attritude indicator showing erect and correctly and the electric trim on? Can't tell you about your specific trim switch parts, but if you need A/P or Servo service I'd recommend an A/P specialist with a good reputation such as AutoPilots Central in Tulsa OK http://autopilotcentral.com/ Quote
