Can I replace efis 40 HSI with garmin GI 275

My EFIS 40 HSI has gone out and I’m going to have to do some upgrades. At minimum I’m going to replace #1 com and nav with Garmin GTN 650 and replace HSI with Garmin GI 275.

 

my question is can I keep the KI 256 Attitude indicator with flight director to drive the autopilot? And if so would I be losing any autopilot functions? I know dual 275 is probably the way to go but I’m trying to stay within a budget. The attitude indicator and autopilot are working great at the moment.

With the GI-275 to replace the HSI, you can have the GI-275 installed and configured as a Standby ADI/MFD with battery.  Much more versatile the just the Primary HSI.  Don't know about the attitude indicator and autopilot.
