Just curious, how much are you paying for your SkyBeacon ADS-B these days?  Looks like the TSO for the Tailbeacon ADS-B Out should be shipping in the beginning of April.  The reason why I am asking is I am thinking about running a package special and even a quantity discount if several owners purchase in bulk with one order to decrease the overall costs.  Just doing a little research here.  What cha got? Would that interest anyone?

I pre-ordered a TSO’d tail beacon direct from Uavionics for $2,019 shipped.  FWIW, it’s scheduled shipping date is 02/28/2019, but who knows when it will actually go out.

I was planning on purchasing and putting in the SkyBeacon as last I had heard the Tailbeacon was still up in the air for certification. I would be interested in the Tailbeacon if it is coming out soon, if not I will buy the SkyBeacon to get compliant.

I was in a group buy for the tailbeacon at $1725, I think there was 20-21 people in. Unfortunately, since there is no approval date on the tailbeacon I decided to cancel the order and went with a Stratus ESG. I figured the extra expense was worth the international capability (1090), having a new transponder replacing my functional (but for how long) KT76, and I can claim the FAA rebate in time.  Not knowing when the tailbeacon would be approved was another big factor.

My avionics shop gave me a great deal on the ESG and, since he is absolutely slammed with work, allowed owner assist which saved a bunch of labor $$$.
