mooneygirl Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 I have some happy news sports fans. ArtCraft Paint, with the help of the Mooney Ambassadors are hosting a daily Mooney Happy Hour, in Building C. ArtCraft Paint will have a booth in building C. They have secured the use of the hospitality room for all "customers" or "potential customers". We are working out the time, but imagine something like 12-2 daily. We realize it is not MAPA with their wonderful displays and large tables. But this is a wonderful opportunity to hang out together, cool down, have some lemon aid [secret MAPA recipe!] and perhaps think about painting your Mooney. So again, ArtCraft Paint has a display in Building/Hangar C space 3062. The hospitality room is just down from their booth. Come, cool off, chat with friends, figure out who is going to hold seats for Lt. Dan Band, and enjoy the hospitality from the Ambassadors and ArtCraft Paint.I am thrilled ArtCraft Paint came forward. Thanks ArtCraft [http://www.artcraftpaint.com/]Jolie LucasN6619U Quote
Bennett Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 ArtCraft painted my M20J a few months ago, and I couldn't be more pleased. I flew her back to Santa Maria two weeks ago to have the paint buffed out, which is a part of their regular procedure. Great people to work with, and not only highly competent, but patient with my layout ideas. They spent a full Sunday with me while their chief painter taped, and re-taped the airplane stripes, making ever so slight adjustments, until it just looked right. Designs on paper do not look the same as they do on the airplane itself. I recommend them highly. Quote
mooneygirl Posted May 24, 2011 Author Report Posted May 24, 2011 That was our experience too. I believe ArtCraft has painted now about 15 Mooneys in the past two years. They are working with me on mine! Horray! Anyway, come see ArtCraft and experience Mooney Happy Hour at AirVenture. Quote
mooneygirl Posted July 27, 2011 Author Report Posted July 27, 2011 We are having so much fun at Oshkosh/Airventure. Lots of folks are coming to Mooney Happy Hour every day. [building C hospitality room 12-2] We have met new friends and seen old friends. I am using Lela's lemonaid recipe from MAPA and so far, no complaints! Come and see us if you are here. Monday through Saturday, 12-2 Mitch and I are getting excited about the PGA Squared presentation at the EAA Museum's Vette Theater, Thursday 10:00 a.m. Will try to post updates as we can. Rain expected tomorrow, but so far weather has been great. Quote
mooneygirl Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 Fun day today. It is Women's Day at AirVenture. We are being interviewed by G.A. News [Meg Godlewski]. Mooney Happy Hour 12-2. At 3:00 we are interviewing a Ford executive. Later in the evening is The Aviator's media event, then Lt. Dan Band. Made some great contacts with Women in Aviation. Oh and the Air and Space magazine editor....Whew, what a blast. Quote
David Mazer Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Stopped by for a quick lemonaide at OSH today. It is nice to put faces to the screen names. Thanks to all those who put this together. Quote
mooneygirl Posted July 30, 2011 Author Report Posted July 30, 2011 Lemonaid for tomorrow will be at the ARTCRAFT booth. Mitch and I are headed home. They are in 3062. Erika and Teresa are going to try to make the lemonade the way that Lela from MAPA does! It was so nice to meet everyone! Go Mooney! Quote
M016576 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Sorry I missed it! Wish I could have made the trip.. maybe next year I'll be able to get down to artcraft, have the Mooney detailed and then shoot on over to OshKosh to meet all the fellow Mooniacs in person! Would be great! Quote
