KSMooniac Posted December 24, 2017 Report Posted December 24, 2017 I asked at OSH and they're not any closer. They first have to certify using two of their separate mags on regular engines, then they can do the dual mag.Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk

laytonl Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 I send mine to Select Aircraft every 500 hours without fail and have never had a mag issue since starting this practice. Previously, I owned a Mooney with a partner and he was flying up the California coast one night when the mag - at 700 hours - had a problem. He limped in safely to some airport along the coast. We were based in North Carolina (MRN) so he took a wrong turn somewhere to end up over the Pacific Ocean! lee 1
WheelPantsOff Posted Sunday at 01:20 PM Report Posted Sunday at 01:20 PM Bumping this back from the dead. Where are people sending their D4LN-3000 magnetos for inspection/repair nowadays? Thanks in advance.
Thedude Posted Sunday at 02:11 PM Report Posted Sunday at 02:11 PM I just sent mine to aero accessories based on what I've been reading here. I get my plane back on Monday, so we'll see how it goes. http://aeroacc-vny.com/ 1
