mtrebbe Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Does anyone have the decorative part that screws onto the ignition sw in a vintage Mooney? Quote
carusoam Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Mike, To hopefully help with your search..... are you refering to the outer bezel that holds the switch in place. (I think if this threaded piece, knurled on the outside, is missing, the whole switch is loose in the hole in the panel?) This may be a Bendix switch part, not so much a mooney decoration....? Good luck in your search. Best regards, - a - Quote
N601RX Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I have the old switch that I removed from my plane. Aircraft spruce also sells a replacement that comes with a matching keyed door and baggage door lock. Quote

mtrebbe Posted February 17, 2011 Author Report Posted February 17, 2011 The switch is held firmly in place by the pressed nut. The knurled piece is all I need. Quote
thinwing Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I bet it is a standard threading....you could try an aircraft dismantler..white industries come to mind....good luck..kpc Quote
N601RX Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I'm sure I still have the nut. I'm traveling today, but will be back home tomorrow to look. Quote

flight2000 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Mike, I like that paint scheme. Any chance you could post a bigger picture in your gallery? Never thought to paint the wings with white tips. Interesting! Brian Quote
