My engine won't keep running without the boost pump and the primer fuel diverter valve was determined to be the culprit.  The MX won't bypass it and he can only find new ones for 3k+!  Seems excessive.  Does anyone have a line on a rebuilt or tagged valve?

Flyer99,

Can you enlighten me what a 12V fuel diverter valve is?

I expect it is related to the turbo, of which I know too little.

If I know what it is, I'll try to help you find a source...

Thanks,

It's used and engaged by the electric priming system, on the TSIO-360, to divert fuel and prime the cylinders,  It's n an electric 3-way solenoid with an absurd 3 AMU price.  There are a ton of 28v versions out there but only a handful of new 12v parts.  Piper forum threads suggest that Valcor, the manufacture, does not repair these.

Thank you for the description and the photo.

There is a guy that specializes in used Mooney parts.  Search around here for Jerry at Acpartswhse or something like that.  If that is a usual 12V M20K part there must be a few around...

Best regards,
