I have an electric towbar from Dragger Dragger.  I've replaced the battery only once in the last 10 years and keep it on a trickle charger the last 4 years.  It's dependable and easy to operate. A little slow repositioning it to the plane after a flight though. Different size drive wheels are available for more speed, but I'd rather have it slower than faster, especially as I approach the hangar doors.  It's also available in gas powered I believe.

When you tow with the Dragger does it actually lift the plane's nose wheel and then you steer with the Dragger wheels? (I hope so). I found kind of hard to steer if you have too many wheels on the ground.

That's why I bought a "Schleppmaxxe" (www.schleppmaxxe.de). The nosegear remains on the ground, but you can tilt the unit to make small corrections. Unfortunately their site is only in german, but they have a video under "Werbefilm" to see it in action. Here is a translation: http://translate.google.de/translate?prev=_t&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&u=www.schleppmaxxe.de&sl=de&tl=en&history_state0=

Very well built and they put in some good ideas (e.g. you can remove the battery easily and take it with you to charge it at home). With the current exchange rates it should have the same price like the dragger.

Jose, yes, the Dragger Dragger is a bit hard to steer.  It does NOT lift the nose wheel off of the ground.  So you have 3 wheels on the ground.  The nose gear, and two main wheels for the Dragger.  I'm sure there are better ones on the market.  I've seen one with 1 wheel, and it looks easier to operate.  I've never seen anyone with the Dragger except the one I have.  It works though, and I'm use to it.
