GA35 with non waas 430?

If one were able to buy a non waas 430 on the cheap, could it be installed with the waas approved antenna and coax?  I have no need for vertical guidance GPS approaches, as I would be ok for using VLOC to the ground and I would have a kx155 with GS for #2

The reason why I'm asking is because it would be better to have a very easy slide-in upgrade path if I should plunge for an ifd440 down the road.
