Hi all — I’m new to this space and narrowing down my choices for my first airplane purchase (Ovation vs Encore). Anybody know if the Ovation 310 HP upgrade increases useful load at all?

It does not. Only on the eagle is the Useful load increased. There are some people saying it doesn’t. I have the Paperwork in the STC showing it does from Mooney.

It increases performance all the way around - most notably in takeoff and climb performance. I have it on my O and would not own one without it (even though the standard O is also a terrific plane)
