231Pilot Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 There are so many beautiful Mooneys represented in the MooneySpace membership I think it would be a good addition to the member profile to add an aircraft profile section. It could include N-number, Model and year, avionics, number of years owned, modifications, paint and interior upgrades (and where done), and of course links to photos. Anyone else want to get more info on other members planes? Reading some of the history about different planes would be really cool (at lease I think it would be). It could/would be a great place to get ideas on additons to our own aircraft. Just wondering.
DaV8or Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 Sure, why not? Could be useful. If you knew who had the same radio as you for example, you would know just who to ask for a question. If we added pictures to the profile section, it would kind of be like a virtual fly in!
Jeff_S Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 At the risk of being cautionary, putting all that information in one, publicly-available source could be pretty risky. Once an N# goes out, the general whereabouts of a plane can be easily determined. On the Piper forums last year one of the members had his panel stolen out of a LOCKED hangar. People who hang around airports are also likely to lurk around forums. Just something to consider.
