Hello Mooney friends! I'm searching for a partnership in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia/Southern Maryland region, either buying into your airplane or assembling a group of local pilots interested in buying a Mooney and bringing it out to the region. - Mission: Mine will be mostly weekday XC flying, so if yours is weekend flying, might be a good fit, - Size of group: Ideally 3-4 people, but a single co-owner would be fine too, - Timeframe: Targeting airplane in hand/partnership active by May 2022 (I will update this post as/when I find partners) About me: I'm a CFII/MEI, ~1,000 hrs TT, pointy-nose fast mover non-PIC time, have previously co-owned two airplanes at PHNL and PHOG with great results/memories. (Sacrilege I know but) willing to consider other airplane partnerships in the DC area if you know of any, but looking for 150+ KTAS fast cruising with decent range. Wanted: Mooney block time, LA/Camarillo/SoCal area!

Howdy all — I’m looking to purchase block time in a Mooney (any model) in the larger Los Angeles area for a minimum of 50-100 hours. Non-equity partnerships welcome. Looking for 6 months (until June ‘22) or a year (until Nov ‘22), doesn’t have to be exclusive use, I just want to be able to take the airplane IFR/cross country every so often in the above time period. My qualifications: 900+ hr TT, 180 ME, 285 hr complex, 230 hr HP, 86 hours instrument, CFII/MEI. Happy to do any checkout the owner/insurance deems necessary, haven’t raised the insurance rates in previous airplanes I’ve been added to due to CFI and military flight time. Been a fan of Mooney airplanes for a long time, there’s little/no Mooneys in the LA area to rent, I’m active duty military due for a move in the next year so buying isn’t the right move for me right now (though I plan to be a Mooney owner in the near future!). I realize such an arrangement is probably quite rare but hopefully there’s someone in the LA area that could benefit from a short-term block time sale! Willing to be flexible so open to any leads.
