My plane has started an avionics upgrade today, which includes a GTN 750xi, so I will be selling the GTN 750 that is being removed. It has been installed for under 100 hrs, and performs flawlessly. Will sell complete with new install kit/antenna. $12,500. Owner of avionics shop flew plane back to shop so will verify. In addition, a PS8000BT is being removed and replaced with a remote audio panel. Will be complete and include rack. $1,350. Also removing KFC 150 3 servo Auto Pilot. $2,500 obo. Would be willing to consider selling separately, bundling, or fair offers. PM for phone number to talk or text! UPDATE: PSE 8000BT is SOLD

Gents, I believe I have a chance to buy a Garmin GTN 750 at an incredible price and it includes the unit 12/28v, connector back plate, rack, and Garmin GA 35 WAAS GPS antenna AND a current 8130. The unit was working perfectly when removed for an upgrade. My 1980 M20K is 100% original with the King silver crown package so I have a lot of changes coming due real soon to get ADS-b compliant. I've been looking at the Lynx 9000 thinking I didn't have a GPS source, but with the GTN 750, solved. I know the install costs are going to be astronomical but I plan on walking into a shop and handing them a pile of compatible parts and say "make it pretty ...and work", all at one time. I already have a JPI 830 in a box waiting, so also want to get a new comm panel, (my plane only has 2 place intercom plugs-need to add 2 rear) and of courses a new ADS-B transponder. (decisions, decisions) I'm pulling the entire interior for a complete upgrade and to upholster all of the interior panels as well. I plan on having all the interior out when I take it to the avionics shop (still need to find a good reasonable one within a couple hours flight time of Sacramento) so its quicker and easier for them to install wiring, antenna, etc. I'm a recreational flyer in my Mooney and wouldn't give a second thought flying back to the Midwest or farther from northern California so dont necessarily need all the latest and greatest digital wiz bangs, but it will be nice to step into modern times with a real GPS Panel unit. (KNS-80 and iPad up to now). Is there anything I should know up front or should be planning for to avoid having to go back 2 steps later on? I've attached a current panel pic to help. Hope it comes through ok. Thanks all ! This site rocks !!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone ! (Can you tell I'm happy to be back in the US for the holidays from Afghanland !!?)

I'm still learning the process of using Data Base Concierge and the Flightstream 510 to update the GTN 750 and G500. I know that the Flightcharts data base takes quite a while to synch from the GTN 750 to the G500. Today being a beautiful day to fly (they're all great days to fly, this was even better) I figured it would be a crime not to gather some helpful information. The Flitecharts update was 868 MB. It took a few minutes to upload to the GTN 750 via wifi (didn't time it, but subjectively not overly long). I then flew around the area, periodically checking the progress of the synch on the data base page of the G500. Bottom line: It took about 45 minutes of flight time for the synch to complete. Of course, once it's completed the G500 needs to be restarted to finish the process. So unless you're VfR and feel like flying for few minutes on your backup instruments and Nav this needs to wait until the next flight. Here are my questions: Is 868MB a typical size for a Flitecharts update? Is 45 minutes about what others are seeing for the time for the synch process to complete? Dave Piehler

.. And this all started with me wanting to simply upgrade my EDM 800! .... Ok .. with help of the suggestions and comments here, I went a little nuts and went for the full Monty panel upgrade. I was thinking of going glass with my steam gauges, but I really like them, and their redundancy so I kept them all and added one that had been previously removed. So now I have my *PERFECT* panel for me! Lots of things are behind the panel, but here's what I had installed... (I swapped out my MX20. EDM 800, Ryan 9900BX active traffic, ADF.. kept my 430W) and added the following stuff since the before pic: GTN 750 Garmin GDL 88 ADSB Tranceiver Garmin GMA 35 Remote audio panel Flightstream 210 TI 102 USB charging ports DAC international GDC 31 roll steering adapter (Don Kaye talked me into this one.. love it) Guardian CO detector Avidyne TAS 620 Active traffic EDM 830 (in landscape! long story on a different thread) Avidyne AXP 340 1090 Transponder EJC turn coordinator Eagle systems AOA (Valkyrie HUD) Here's some before and after pics. Absolutely love the integration of my ipad though the flightstream that feeds nav data from my ipad to my GTN which cross fills my 430 and reverse also. Guardian CO already paid for itself in picking up an exhaust clamp that was beginning to leak nearing failure. And I could be imagining this, but I think now that I am fully ADSB compliant, the controllers seem to handle you a little better. Got everything I want in my Mooney Panel... for now!! imgCA8XS4VW.pdf

Dear All, I recently upgraded to GTN 750 and I noticed that there is no switch to turn it on and off. Everything appears to be under the radio master, moreover when I switch off the radio master the shut down of the GTN comes abruptly and not gradually as it was with my old GPS. Is it normal?

I just upgraded from GNS 530 + 430 to a GTN 750. I have a KAP 225 auto pilot. When plotting a Direct To course with the GPS and then pressing the NAV button on the auto pilot, nothing happens. I can get the NAV button to work when I use the VLOC to see a VOR or ILS freq, but not in GPS mode. If I want to fly a GPS route, then I use the Heading Bug and select HDG on the auto pilot and self-correct for wind/drift. Sarasota Avionics is where the work was done and they are talking with Garmin to troubleshoot. Has anyone come across this situation before?
