I did a search and didn't see anything come up right away, so sorry if this is a repost. I have a J in Burlington VT, and need to find a good place for an annual. Norwood Aviation and Infinity Aviation are about 3 hours away. Hildt in Bennington at least advertises for J service, anyone have any experience with them? Any thoughts? Other options? One other option, I have to go near Philly occasionally for work, so I could do Weber in Lancaster if they could finish it in a week. I'm due in July, but figure I should get started scheduling. Thanks!

We worked with Hildt Aviation in Bennington, VT and had a positive experience. Hildt was recommended to us by someone else on this site. Jamie was a pleasure to work with — thorough, good communication, clear documentation of issues found, and patient with first time buyers.

I am using Hildt Aviation in Bennington, VT (DDH). About 90 NM from ASH. They are familiar with Mooneys. They did my first annual and were pretty thorough which you could see from the final bill. $$$$. That joke aside I believe they did a great job on my J and it is flying well with 12+ hours on it since the service. I asked him about PPIs and Jaime (owner/IA) likes to do an annual inspection for the prebuy. You would have to discuss with him how much you would want to get into that. I have an M20C based out of Saratoga. There are a handful of Mooney owners between Albany and Schenectady, with a couple more with me at Saratoga. I have not had any major service issues in my short ownership but have nothing but good things to say about the service guys at North American at Saratoga. Brian and his team are good guys. Hildt aviation has a great reputation but I believe they moved their aircraft maintainence to Bennington from Albany. Richmore does the service at Schenectady and is busy with their flight school planes and jet work. I have not heard much bad or good about them but they certainly do a lot of work and are busy. I feel like I would of heard horror stories if there was any. I know at least one M20J that uses them for service and has for at least 10 years with no issues.
