  1. I want GPSS steering and altitude bugging for my AP.
  2. Will the dynon sky view hdx work with and even better add gpss steering to the KAP-150 so I could do it in phases? I k ow the g275 will.

  5. So my current setup of gns530w and KAP150. In NAV mode it does not sync the track needle automatically. I have to turn the track needle to the track recommended by the gns530 making it almost like a heading bug. Will that be the same with the IFD, or can it be set to auto sync the track with the magenta line and therefore tell the KAP to follow that line? Long term goal is to add dual gi275 and gfc500, but not in the budget for now.
  6. I have a farm with a nice airport about 25min away (KGAD). I moved 6h drive away. I’m considering seeing if they will let me park my truck at the airport and have transportation when I fly into hunt or get work done etc instead of driving. Anybody left a car at the airport long term?
  7. Any other suggestions? Talked to a guy in Panama City that will travel but local would be great.
  8. So you ran the tank until it died, in the air?!
  9. Mind me asking what the cost is for the dual GI 275 and GFC 500
  10. Will they all play nicely together? Looking at finishing out instrument and trying to decide on best panel upgrades for ifr flying. Really like the ifd540 along with ease of replacing the g530w with it. That may be fine to get me where I want with the existing kap 150 and associated AI and hsi. I spoiled myself though and flew with g1000 for a while and going to ne hard to go back.
  11. I bought a mooney like that 10+ years ago. It was in a hanger though. The owner passed away and it took that long for his wife to get around to selling it. Got a fantastic deal on it. He flew it regular and kept it well maintained while he was alive. I got a very thorough pre-buy and probably a little lucky that I didn’t spend a year working out gremlins. See if you can find the mechanic that has been doing the annuals etc.
  12. KJKA is a good stop but fuel is high. For cheap fuel, several of the small strips a little more inland can’t be beat. JKA used to be my version of $100 hamburger. Fly in on a Friday morning with a cooler, grab a crew car and drive a mile to a local seafood market and grab fresh shrimp, back home to cook fresh seafood.
  13. I think the Js are one of the best aircraft ever made.
  14. Any CFII near Mobile, AL familiar with Mooneys?
  15. We put 2 in 1 and did it all the time.
  16. Man I miss my mooney.
  17. J model and lots of gas
  18. I told him (purchaser) he needs to get on here and taught him the secret handshake ;D
  19. I got to meet Mr. Bob at his home field today when selling my airplane to another guy at the field. That place is starting to fill up with Mooneys. Thanks for the hospitality Bob and letting me peak at the infamous panel. His panel is even more impressive in person. That thing is top notch .
  20. Sold. Dropping below $100k was the magic number. My phone rang off the hook after that.
  21. I'm not sure I agree with this.
  22. This was fun to watch as you went along.
  23. Can be quite addictive. I have my airplane for sale already at a loss, but I still find myself looking at panels and other mods thinking of what my next project is going to be. It's truely a sickness.
  24. My personal bladder is only good for 3h. 30 extra gallons would just eat up more weight.
  25. Look under the wings for blue fuel stains. Smell for gas when you open the cockpit.
