  1. From the album: M20F

Oil usage was about 1L/hr and compression on #3 was 64 so my mechanic buddy took it off and sure enough, scrubber ring was toast.
  2. Thanks, I'll try that. I didn't have any luck with the online part request from their site... Hope the phone will be better.
  3. When the site crashed and they restored from backup, it lost a few days of posts on all the threads. On this thread there was discussion about that part number and a bunch of pictures to discuss what part I actually need. I sent the part number to Britain and Mooney asking for pricing and availability of p/n 2007-7 but neither replied so I assumed the part number must need more numbers. The pictures I posted to this showed the exact part I am needing but it is basically the big rubber boot and the clamp to secure it. If anyone has a contact that can supply those, I would be most interested. Thanks Shawn
  4. Up here, I've been flying at -35c and no issues with the trim etc. if that helps. Shawn
  5. it really sucks that we lost so many of these posts but I am still trying to find a part number for the rubber part with the clamp. As was posted before, mine had tons of holes in it so we have the step wired up while trying to get the step condom. If anyone has a part number and or a supplier, please let me know. I would like to just replace the rubber instead of the whole unit as the rest of the unit looks fine. Thanks, Shawn
  6. A bunch of posts and threads are gone from the vintage forum that I was watching/updating. Is it just me that shows them gone? Thanks Shawn
  7. Mine isn't too bad and I haven't done anything to it to make it easy. I was flying at -30c a couple days ago.
  8. Do you have a link to them or the listing? I can't seem to find the replacement part but for that price I'd replace it in a heartbeat. The tower at my home field has been watching it for me and it is never up on take off or landing. I looked for tears in the bellows but nothing visible. Any help tracking down a replacement would be brilliant!
  9. I talked to the seller before buying it and he sold me a new model, with ext antennae for the same price. I have to wire it to plugs (5 min work) and pick a pay as you go cell plan but that way I know what coverage I am going to get based on the provider I choose. There is a small charge to activate the plan but depending on the carrier it is pretty cheap ( under $20). I also have to buy a SIM card but I did that from eBay for $3 with free shipping. The new model is AC and has 2 - 30amp relays so it should work well for my setup with Tanis preheat and a cabin warmer. One outlet is phone activated and the other is text controlled. He shipped it the same day I ordered it so i should be able to comment back soon on its functionality. Overall the seller has been awesome so far and my total cost should be well under $175 total. Ill try to post a full run down after installed. Thanks Shawn
  10. Has anyone bought one of these ones? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200597872557#ht_4369wt_1413 Price is better at $129usd , I would have to wire the connectors myself which wouldnt take more than a few minutes. Just curious if anyone else went this route. Thanks
  11. I assume it is the part shown in these pics.... But I don't know if that is the part that usually fails. http://mooneyspace.com/gallery/album/13695-step-67-f/

  15. Forgot, does anyone know the part num for the big unit on a 67 F?
  16. Ok so the tower confirmed using binoculars on a flyby that my step is down all the way while in flight. I opened the access panel but couldn't tell much other than there wasn't any obvious cuts in the bottom section. I took pictures but it won't let me add them to the post. Don't know if they would help anyways.
