You nailed it ! And there's a story behind this : The Owner of this Ovation is Jacques Cailles, a friend, is very well known in France & Europe. I call him "Monsieur G A " . He is the Editor in Chief and owner of the french language GA Magazine, Aviation & Pilote . Jacques is a good friend of Nicolas Chabbert and Nicolas was the Director of Mooney in the early 2000's , now the Director of Daher Aviation ( TBM ). So Jacques got special treatment when he ordered N77GJ and the GFC700 was actually fitted by Daher when the Ovation got back to France since Mooney had never installed one. At any rate, this Ovation has been VERY well cared for by Jacques and it has always been hanagerd , flies almost exclusively IFR and generally long-range trips. Jacques just flew GJ from Paris to Manchester New Hampshire in complete confidence and ZERO problems !
