  1. The 1st thing to look at is the Poster a "Supporter" ? The scammers can't be bothered to pay the $25 ....
  2. There are a myriad of scams perpetrated towards sellers : COD scams , phishing for personal data, BS trades, etc., etc. Basically they are just a PITA and there are quite a few on mooneyspace !
  3. I've decided to part out a M20J that has corrosion on wing main spar based France. Both the engine and prop were fully overhauled with just 100H since and properly stored since. ALL logbooks and records, EASA ( France) registered. This aircraft is 100% complete excepting avionics. Minimum order/transaction $1,000 since I do not have the time to deal with small parts. Feel free to PM me for more information. I will not tolerate scammers !
  4. Nope, confirmed by the ex-owner.
  5. RKLEMS nailed it ! I pulled the GTN650 and the KC1900 and sure enough the pinouts didn't ring out . Hard to believe a fairly reputable shop made this install ... Thanks RKLEMS !
  6. My new-to-me Mooney MSE came equipped with GTN650 + G5 HSI + KFC150. The problem I have is the G5 HSI will play with the GTN & KFC 150 AP in Heading mode and in GPSS mode, but not in NAV mode. The course info is displayed on the G5 but the AP does not operate when NAV mode is engaged. Any ideas ?
  7. Hello AM - I'm an American ex-pat, based Paris, FAA A&P/IA, own 2 Mooneys and maintain another half-dozen for friends & clients. We enjoy Portugal and have been to Caiscais a few times as well as Lisbon. Feel free to contact me : mwchartier AT g mail dot c o m cell : +33 6223058 six-one Michael PS: just noticed you on Flightaware24 - looks like you are in La Rochelle today !
  8. Thanks guys for the tips. I checked the 2 fuses near main battery, no joy. Will check floor gear light with multimeter. It appears that the cabin lights share the same connector as the sonalert in the roof - might be a clue ?
  9. This is for my New-to-me 1991 M20J MSE : Gear waring horn as well gear light (in floor) and cabin lights non-functioning . From the wiring schematic it appears that the cabin lights and gear warning sonalert share the same power supply, but other than that I'm struggling to isolate the problem. Any/all suggestions welcome !
  10. There is an oil seal at the base of the vacuum pump drive shaft. It's not the gaskets that insure against oil leaks - it's the seal ! Clearly the seal was compromised during the pump change. Remove the pump, pry out the oil seal (that's the difficult part) install new oil seal, gaskets and pump.
  11. Hello Rich - So I'm troubleshooting the cabin overhead lighting circuit - I have the up-dated 1996 MSE interior with 4 overhead spot-lights controlled by individual switches. My SN: 24-3194 . Thanks! From beautiful Paris - France ....
  12. I found a copy of the Service Manual in the downloads section but can't seem to locate Section 2 with the electrical schemas ? Thanks!
