  1. Speaking of in the ear headsets, I have a Panther Electronics CATS in the ear headset that I don't use. If anyone is interested let me know and I will provide more info. I purchased one for me and one for my wife. My wife loves it and still uses it. I didn't care for it and use a conventional ANR headset. I don't think the Panther is being produced anymore. It is a molded in the ear type. Paul
  2. Hmm, what burns 14.5gph at 175ktas cruise A M20R or M20S will do better than that. Paul
  3. I found a Md26-28 so I don't need one anymore. Thanks Paul
  4. Alan, I will call you later today thanks Paul iloop123@gmail.com
  5. Looking for an Inverter p/n MD26-28 that is used with a WX-500 Stormscope. One sold recently on ebay for $50, would like to find one for $100 or under. Thanks, Paul
  6. i fly with a friend in a King Air. Early on it was discovered that the Ipad gps was lost at altitudes usually above about 15,000, not always, but it was unreliable. First a Bad Elf was used with success at all atitudes, and now we use the Skyradar ADS-B box which has an internal GPS. I now use the same (IPAD and Skyradar Box) in my Mooney and it works great with weather in flight. Paul
  7. The STC SA02193ch specifies the engine and prop upgrades. Paul
  8. Thanks for the reply. I think you are right. I have traced the brake lines and there is no separate shuttle valve on my plane. Paul
  9. Here is the actual stc listed on the FAA site: http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgstc.nsf/0/9371FDC1A346714F86257840007AFEBA?OpenDocument&Highlight=sa02193ch
  10. Here is a link to the POH supplement found online for the 310 hp STC. http://www.deltaaviationllc.com/Nav%20Page/ovation3/Ovation3%20STC.pdf
  11. The 310 hp stc does not require a different engine. It is basically a power boost by allowing the engine to turn 2700 rpm for the 310 hp. It also requires the 3 blade Hartzell prop and perhaps a governor mod. This has been written about on previous topics on Mooneyspace, and there are write ups on this subject if you search online. I recently talked briefly to Midwest about this and I recall the paperwork costs in the 2k range for the stc, but you should call them to confirm. Also, the Mooney factory uses this stc for the Ovation 3. I have a copy of the POH supplement for this stc which I found online. Send me an email if interested. Paul
  12. I should explain. My maintenance manual says when bleeding brakes (dual system) to disconnect the line at the shuttle valve. My parts manual does not reference a shuttle valve in the brake system. I am looking for an explaination of where the shuttle valve is located if indeed I have one. Or perhaps the reference is left over from previous Mooneys with shuttle valves. I have a 2001 Ovation with dual brakes and having trouble bleeding the brakes. Thanks Paul
  13. Does anyone know where the Brake shuttle valve is on a Mooney Ovation?
  14. Count me in as interested. 2001 M20S Paul
