  1. Any one has experience with the AC tugs? https://www.acairtechnology.com/products.aspx?cat=tugs&ModelID=3 Thank You
  2. Cheese, these are a begging o a solution... Neilpilot, you are talking about a Mooney Savvy mechanic. What is this. For me Savvy is Savvy. Is there 2 organisations?
  3. There is an Ovation for sale, a 2000 that I made an offer. The hic is that the airplane is a repossess and did not fly for the last 3 years. The seller don't want to pay to have it in a flying condition. This means that I have to do the prebuy at his home airport with someone that is not a Mooney Service Center. Savvy did not realy look at it but is very negative and does not offer any trace of solutions. I think I offered a price below the market value an Ovation in a normal flying condition. What do you think?
  4. Longview is not far by plane but 20 hours + if by car?
  5. Anyone can tell me the approx cost for tanks resealed for an Ovation? Some say that the tank are 89 gallons. Others says that all 89 gallons are 102 gallons if filled to the top. Is this right. Also, anyone know a good Mooney Center Near Conroe, Texas (KCXO) Thank You
  6. Actualy, I am impress by the speed but 2 things: - I prefer staying away from homebuilt to fly IFR. - Useful load has a minimum to me that the Questair does not have.
  7. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank You.
  8. Hello... Most Mooniac are attracted by speed and efficencies. And Mooney for speed, efficency and load with sexy look is hard to get better if possible. But... I went for a ride with a friend in his Questair Venture and whow!!! 230 knots true at 8000 feet and 12 g per hour.. Would you trust the design enough to buy a Questair Venture?
  9. Anyone knows the weight of an air conditioning system on an ovation. Also is it removable the gain weight? Thanks
  10. Done, thank you. (I did not see this request previously; may be many more did not see it either. I don't care that much about advertisment if it can continue improve the site. And may be ... Having more power on certain instance (a voice) with some problem related to the Mooney owners like the "waas stc of stec/g1000").
  11. Whow, 1130 lb. Wonder if some with TKS come on the market sometime...
  12. What is thhe weight of this upgrade?
  13. Hi jeff, I used to have a 201, no tks. With 64 gallons of fuel, I had plenty of usefull load for luggage. With a future Ovation with TKS, I am looking at 150 lb of luggage (life raft, 2 bikes, camping stuff, etc) me and a passenger plus fuel and ... speed.
  14. I am a bit concern about usefull load. Some says that if I want more usefull load buy a Cirrus of a Bonanza. Here are my calculation Ovation vs Cirrus Cirrus SR22, Year 2005 with TKS, no air Usefull load year 2005: + 1060 lb Ramp weight: + 12 lb Fuel 81 gallons: - 486 lb Pilot and passenger - 325 lb TKS: - 50 lb Remaining: 206 lb Ovation 2, Year with TKS fiki, no air Usefull load: 974 lb Ramp weight: + 12 lb Fuel 81 gallons: - 486 lb (to compare with Cirrus) Pilot and passenger - 325 lb TKS: - 50 lb Difference in speed: 25 lb (approx. 10 kts faster) Remaining: 145 lb Difference: 61 lb Am I missing something?
  15. Anyone knows if there is a resale value for removed air conditioning from an ovation 2005?
  16. Anyone have an idea of the weight of a factory instalked air conditioning system on a recent Ovation? In other word, what would be the weight gain if I would remove the air conditioning from a recent Ovation? thank You
  17. Ovation owner (especially g1000) what is your average unplanned maintenance yearly cost... I mean on top of annual, hangar, etc
  18. Anyone could tell me the major differences btw G1000 and Garmin Perpective. Also what do you thing of the combination of G1000 and Stec 55X? Of course WAAS is still pending but I can not believe Garmin will not take out stm at an (aviation) reasonable price. We also know they are working on it... Thank You
  19. Anyone knows the extra weight that comes with the Ovation 3 upgrade?
  20. Do you think the price is right ... would you prefer an ovation with a Ovation 3 upgrade What about the 2 blades prop instead of the 3 blades.... Thank You
  21. I request your experience. I fill like buying the following Mooney Ovation: http://www.controller.com/listings/aircraft/for-sale/1393085/2003-mooney-m20r-ovation2-dx Since I am in Canada, it is easier to import from US than UK but the seller might be willing to pay partly for the import. This is not the point. I want to know what you think of the airplane... The fact that it does not have the Ovation 3 upgrade, 2 blades prop, top at 800 hours, etc. I need TKS and a usefull load at least 950 lb. I really need and appreciate your inpout. Thank you
  22. Hello, i am a little confuse about Usefull load Legal wise: Is the limitation related to landing portion of the flight only or the whole flight... from lift off to landing. If related to the landing portion only, this mean one could take off overload as far as if the weight is reduce enough when linding. Thank You
  23. Hello, I might be interested in bying a lot to build a hanger home at Massey air ranch near Orlando. anyone know this airport? The fact that it is a municipal airport, should I be worry with a potential closedown? also, where should I start to get what I should know before making an offer in a state I don't know? Thank You
