Is it normal to get charged extra for an ELT check at your annual? The ELT has to be inspected at the annual inspection right? If you pay a base rate for the annual inspection it seems checking the ELT battery would be part of that. Is it normal for most shops to make that a separate line item and charge for it? Small fee but it seems to me that would be included in the base rate of the inspection. I'm a new owner and my first plane.

I had this happen to me. I sent it to Autopilot Central. They found the power supply faulty and replaced a capacitor. When they took it apart the front lens was laminating and broke so I had to get that replaced also. The capacitor was $29, lens $225 and 7 hours labor @ $105 per hour.

First plane purchase. Any bravo owners want to comment on things i should look out for on buying? i've been trying to learn all i can from this forum. as a first time buyer for a Bravo is there anything I should look out for?

I need a turbo. I live out west and will be regularly flying to southeast Alaska. I like the 252 for the economy and think with a gross weight increase it would be a perfect plane. I'm also considering a Bravo.

I want to be able to fly 750NM with reserves and carry 2 adults with some cargo.

That's a nice looking plane but the useful load is too low. I was thinking of a 252 and doing a gross weight increase.

I would want new paint, interior, and a GPS. Also I like the idea of a gross weight increase.

I think it had an overhaul in 1998. Had an annual ever year but hardly flown the past 10 years. It does need paint and the interior royalite panels are cracked. I haven't been watching the 252 market for very long. I'm wondering if this is priced right?
