Anybody hear how Don Maxwell does?
-
Really good idea to take pics. I would like to hear about Poplar Grove when he gets it back. I do want it done right. Would like to have this machine for a while. I don't mind spending the money. My family and my butt will be at stake. Aron

I am in need of a new engine. I am thinking of a factory reman or new. But who to put it on is the real problem. I would appreciate any feedback on this subject. Thank you

As far as my system is setup, I can load the transponder with either the 650 or 750. I also chose the 930 because I knew parts were probably going to get scarce as far as engine instruments go. Aron

'87 252/Encore panel upgrade plans

I rarely use the speedbrakes. I flew with an old Piedmont captain and he said if you use use speedbrakes you've screw it up. -

On my descent checklist I turn on my stby vacuum pump. Then turn it off after landing checklist. -

You may want to check and see how your speed brakes are powered. When I removed my vacuum system I had to keep the alternate electric vacuum pump in the rear of the aircraft to run my speed brakes. Aron -

It seems to me that you are making the right choice. Safety first. What's it costing to do the fiki on the 252. -
Nice panel Oscar. How do you like the ESV on your 1000? I see that your are WOT at 11000 with 26 Side knots, I would rather have that as a tailwind. :~) Aron

APS4A Altitude Preselect
Aron Peterson replied to Aron Peterson's topic in Avionics/Panel Discussion
Just a few words about the APS4A. I have had it installed and have been using it for the last few months. My 252 usually climbs at about 750 fpm and descend at 300 to 400 fpm and as the conversations went above, it will over shoot after the Alt hold engages. But not by much. Maybe 40 to 60 feet if that, then it will come back down to where the Alt hold engaged. I am very happy with the system. And just like at my work I do not rely on the Alt hold to capture. I try to keep my SA up so that I am always aware to where my air machine is going. Aron -
Thanks Bob I appreciate the compliment. Your panel is very nice looking! Aron

I have had the 750 and the 650 setup for a few months now and I like the 750 better. I do use them both though. I really like the cross-flll function. I also enjoy the V-calc function which is available on both the 750 and the 650.
