  1. Anyone have a contact of where I can purchase an oxygen regulator?
  2. I did the same and ended up with a 231 also, but a J or K are pretty efficient and reasonable priced to start with.
  3. Yes if going to the vertical limit it does make a lot of difference to have an intercooler and merlin.
  4. I think an intercooler and wastegate make it easier on the engine up high if you run it hard, I run real easy and the temps look fine to me.
  5. I bought my K only about 3 years ago and right away I put in a MVP50 engine monitor so I can watch everything as close as possible, which is very important to me, and now I find out that I totally screwed up and don't properly take care of my plane, guess I will have to start saving my pennies for a wastegate and intercooler so I won't wreck my plane. Just my thoughts?
  6. Has anyone else had the same experience with Willmar?
  7. That is what I was figuring about that 3500-4000 range just sure if there would be alot of benifits to justify the cost.
  8. What do you guys think about the IFD440 campared to a 430w just got an email saying a person could get one for 8800?
  9. Nice choice to start with, buy the right one (brand) right away instead of trading up to one later!
  10. Sleepy Eye MN, when I setup to cruise it seems like the more I lean it the closer the egt's get together. 100 ROP egts are about 50 from high to low. The engine has position tuned injection nozzles, don't know what that means compared to GAMIS but seems to run good but never tried LOP (yet?) I am based out of D42. I'm just not thinking it will pay to upgrade for the fuel savings because I run very low power setting 65-70% so heat doesn't seem to be a problem yet, but only been to 14k so far not sure how much I will be above 18k?
  11. With a little checking and approximate numbers 4000 automatic wastegate 6000 intercooler Not sure if these will be on anyone's list?
  12. I have an almost new tsio-360 took a few trips with it some high altitude and some low and hot. Some the temps I am seeing is 190 on the oil and about 1425 tit and 350 cht that was on a trip to Arizona cruising at about 12500. At low altitudes in 90 degree weather tit seemed a little lower and oil temp still the same and cht and get seemed a bit higher about 360 cht. Bottom line is what upgrades if would you look at and in what order would you put them on?
  13. I think it looks different than that it is permanent tank with a oxygen fitting behind a spring loaded door by the luggage door.
  14. What is the factory fitting on the plane by the luggage area? All the Transfill setups I looked at is a 540 fitting on both ends, will I need anything else if my tank has a 540 fitting?
  15. Thanks for all the replies I went with a 251cu ft tank and bought one through Thoroughbred (www.gaspony.com) and the refill is $28. I still need the transfil but I think I will call Aerox this week and get that ordered.
  16. If a person is looking to fill his own oxygen what do you guys recommend, medical, aviators or welding?
  17. So this normal? About how long should it take from the time you lift the gear switch till the time the gear light goes out?
  18. What does it mean or what is next to come if it seems to me like the gear comes up slower than normal, down seems to as good as ever anyone have the feeling like the gear on theirs comes up slow ? Not sure what it means or what the fix is?
  19. The reason I ask is years ago when Grandpa went he stayed at a near by airport and then when Dad went about 15 years ago he did the same and stayed at a near by airport. But looking at the comments it might be busy getting in to the airport but less hassle and cost after that. When is the best time to arrive, when is the caravan? I live about a 2 hour flight away so I can get there at almost any time that is recommended. I'm sure after a person goes once it will be alot more comfortable next time.
  20. Not sure if its worth all the extra time and traffic to fly into Oskkosh or is there near by airports with less traffic and shuttles up to Oshkosh? What do you guys recommend?
  21. I'm planning on going for the first time. Do they make or sell shirts that say something like, Oshkosh Virgin or Oshkosh Newbie, so you can get special treatment, better parking, or maybe a free ice cream cone??
  22. I went to a shop with a plasma cutter and gave them the picture of what I wanted and they also powder coated it if you want. Had it made 6ft wide and about 2ft high I painted it and cost 100$
  23. What oxygen do you use medical, welders, aviation?
  24. Looking to buy a set of oxygen masks or what every you guys recommend, flow meter, aerox, what brand I really have no clue on what I need to complete my oxygen system in my 1980 M20K.
  25. Thank you for signing up for our mailing list. The holidays are upon us and as expression of our appreciation we have sent Friend's Gift Bag to our customers which they may gift any three of their friends. Friend's Gift Bag has in it: $100 off the purchase of their own SkyRadar system. A free, one-year subscription to SkyRadar's software, $65 value, which provides a moving map, free weather, approach plates, charts, flight planning and much more. We'd also like to take a moment to remember our brave troops, who continue fighting for our freedom everyday. While many remain deployed overseas, others have come back home severely wounded. We would like to do our part to help them and their families. To that end, we've also included in the Friend's Gift Bag: A $20 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, made each time a purchase is made using Friend's Gift code If you are thinking about purchasing SkyRadar ask your friend who owns one to gift you a Friend's Gift Bag. On behalf of Radenna's team, I would like to wish you and your family a happy holiday season and safe flying. Thank you, Vladimir Geisberg
