  1. I thought I heard about a gear change some where in the changes to the planes. I agree about the adding weight, not because the plane can't handle it, but just to be legal and keep insurance company happy. I am also looking at interior but looking at synthetic leather and might weigh as much as leather but have heard the 30lb number also as a rough guess.

I have a system in the palne that hasn't been used for years and I'm guessing its 31 years old the lines have been capped do I need new tank or regulators go bad what is all involved, and how much could it cost, to get a sytem up and woking again? It has a 115 cu tank now where do you recommend going for supplies?

  5. I think 15w50 aeroshell is in the engine, and have put about 8 hours on it and so far it looks like about half quart down from when I bought it, so it seems to like it?
  6. Good point! I was thinking the syn would keep temps down which would help in a turbo.

  8. What oil do you guys recommend to run in a tsio-360? Grew up using X-C but I know new oils have come out, synthetic blends and such, but never ran a turbo before what do you think?
  9. Just got to use wingx for the first time today on a flight from Denver to Minnesota and I think it is great with the Skyradar, not saying foreflight isnt good but I started learning Wingx and love it so far.

  11. Yes the fuel senders are also leaking.
  12. The plane I am looking at is in Colorado and being inspected and this is the report I have gotten so far.
  13. If a tank has some fuel on the outside of the tank (not puddles, just damp "seep") could it last years or is it just a short time and it will be leaking and dripping. I know it is just a guess and anything could happen but has anyone a tank that seeps for years before it turns into a leak? Another thought is do you guys know how much it costs to reseal tanks and also do the corrision treatment in the wings and cockpit?

  18. Alot of Garmins out there but anyone have good or bad about Flight Cheetah with XM weather and traffic? Looking at FL210 or FL650
  19. Do you have your 930 in now? Also thanks for the guide lines to fly until the monitor, I am leaning toward 930 because the engine is expensive and the alarms seem like a good idea and clean up a few things in the dash because its certified.

  22. How do you recommend running your engines or should I say setting your engines without more than just a single cht and a fuel flow guage in the dash (231)?
  23. Its almost like some of the threads about speed and fuel burn, but here goes. What if any extra does it cost extra to fly a 231 over a 201, fuel, insurance, annual, maintence (cost per mile not per hour because you can go farther per hour in a 231)?

  25. Yes I am looking at planes and alot of the people selling say theirs are good and some are better just checking to see what you guys think of them and which ones work the best?
